    A Skegness man - whose dream Caribbean home was destroyed by Hurricane Irma - says he'll return to help with the relief effort.

    Daniel Hewison works as a chef for the billionaire Richard Branson on the Virgin Islands. He was back home in Skegness when the storm hit.

    Work is under way to create a memorial for victims of fatal road collisions in Lincolnshire.

    The Lincolnshire Road Victims Memorial is being built in Westgate Wood in Wyberton near Boston.

    Anne Bourne came up with the idea after losing her youngest daughter and niece in a crash in 2004.

    Items were taken from the Co-op store in Cherry Willingham at 16:00 on 30 August.

    The Bishop of Lincoln will take his place in the House of Lords today.

    The Right Reverend Christopher Lowson will be one of 26 spiritual leaders in the house.

    He'll make his inaugural speech at a later date.

    The driver of a tanker that crashed near Gosberton yesterday died at the scene, police have said. , external

    The local man in his 40s was transporting non-hazardous material on Cheal Lane when the collision happened.

    Roads are still closed between the Beech Bank Junction and the Northgate Junction while investigations take place.

    Lincolnshire is to get more ambulances.

    The East Midlands Ambulance Service says it will improve response times.

    However, the number of fast response cars will be cut.

    EMAS says that's because there's too much "doubling up", with both cars and ambulances attending scenes.

    There are delays of around 15 minutes on the A57 near Lincoln this morning.

    The police say there's been a crash near the Drinsey Nook turn off.

    Emergency services are on the scene.

    West Lindsey has begun consulting on the plans for Lea near Gainsborough.

    At the moment, families have to travel to Scunthorpe or Lincoln, and say waiting times are too long.

    Police have released this CCTV image which is part of an investigation into a theft from a branch of Boots in Mablethorpe.

    Officers say the woman in the picture may be able to help them with information about the theft on Wednesday 6 September during which items including razor blades and toiletries were stolen.

    Anyone with information about the incident is being asked to contact police.

    Motorists in the Spalding area are being asked to avoid a stretch of road north of the town after what police have described as a serious accident.

    The crash, on Cheal Lane, Gosberton, was reported at about 13:10.

    The road will be closed for up to four hours, police are warning.

    Strong winds associated with Storm Aileen knocked the electricity off in thousands of homes this morning, but engineers now say there's only one ongoing incident in the county.

    Western Power Distribution and Northern Powergrid, the two companies responsible for power lines across Lincolnshire, have had engineers out since about 04.00.

    Mark Hutchinson, from Western Power Distribution, said more than 5,000 people had been reconnected by his staff over the course of the morning.

    The firm now says that as things stand, there are just seven properties without power in the county.

    Police representatives from East Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire say the government's not gone far enough to improve public sector pay.

    The government said yesterday that prison officers will be offered a 1.7% increase, and police will receive a 1% plus a bonus of the same amount.

    But union leaders have described the move as "pathetic" and say it doesn't cover the rising cost of living.
