They were drawn up by the Brayford Trust which is responsible for the upkeep of the pool. It says it needs the money from the restaurant to pay dredging costs.

But the Lincoln Civic Trust says a second restaurant is unnecessary and other ways should be found of finding cash to pay the bills.

  15. Seven children waiting to be adopted in Lincolnshirepublished at 17:36 British Summer Time 17 October 2017

    William Wright

Events are being held over the next few days, external to help people understand the challenges and rewards of adopting.

Anne Johnson, from the Adoption Service says it's difficult to find adopters for sibling groups, children who are over five and also children with disabilities and special needs.

Anne says it can be a difficult but worthwhile journey:

    Quote Message

Adoption is emotional, for most of the people involved. It's obviously emotional for the birth family, but also for the adopters. And in between children are usually placed with a foster carer who is asked to treat them as their own child.

  16. Could boundary changes affect Lincoln Tory challenge?published at 17:17 British Summer Time 17 October 2017

    Harry Parkhill
    BBC Local Live, Lincolnshire

Changes to the constituency boundaries in Lincoln could affect the likelihood of a Conservative MP for city.

This is despite the Labour Party saying that the proposed changes are for the government to pursue "their own political advantage rather than what is in the best interest of the country".

    mapImage source, GOV

Our political reporter has been analysing the border changes:

    Quote Message

These proposals are designed to even out the number of voters in each seat. Sleaford and North Hykeham would swap pockets of their communities, the Lincoln seat would lose Bracebridge Heath and Waddington but gain North Hykeham and parts of South Hykeham. In theory this could mean the loss of Conservative voters in Lincoln, which is a marginal seat.

  17. Ex-police officer bemoans end of Crimewatchpublished at 16:49 British Summer Time 17 October 2017

    Harry Parkhill
    BBC Local Live, Lincolnshire

An ex-police officer says she is "disappointed" to hear that the long running BBC TV programme Crimewatch is to be cancelled after 33 years on the box.

Helen Evans appeared on the programme in 2015 after new evidence in the murder of Julie Pacey (pictured) from Grantham emerged.

picture of julie paceyImage source, Lincolnshire Police

Although the murderer was never discovered, Helen says the TV appeal allowed them to eliminate people from the investigation.

She says the end of the programme is the end of an era:

    Quote Message

Yes it's a television programme but it's a very very vital tool...It is really the end of a significant era of being able to get our cases on television.

    Helen Evans, Former police officer

  18. Man charged with charity bucket theftpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 17 October 2017

A man has been charged with stealing a charity bucket in Mablethorpe.

Jordan Lambert, aged 21, of Victoria Road Mablethorpe has been charged with theft after a bucket went missing at a shop yesterday.

  19. Earliest ever seal pup arrives at Donna Nookpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 17 October 2017

    Harry Parkhill
    BBC Local Live, Lincolnshire

New seal pups don't usually arrive at Donna Nook nature reserve until November.

But it seems that one seal has decided to provide us with a sneak preview of how adorable they are by delivering the first of the season early.

Can we get an 'awwww' for this?

    Seal PupImage source, Gareth Watcham

Experts at Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust say "it is a little unusual" for the birth to happen so early.

Wardens think it gave birth early because it was fed well and had "had a good year".

    Quote Message

A very early first pup has been born, beating the earliest dunes pups by nine days. At the moment, there is a solitary cow and pup, so she is very vulnerable to disturbance and she is within the bombing range danger area, so if you visit, please stay on the dunes and behind any temporary barriers.

    Spokersperson, Donna Nook Nature Reserve
