    Engineering companies in West Lindsey are being urged to join a new group aimed at creating jobs in the sector.

    Companies are teaming up with the local College and District Council for a project called Made in Gainsborough.

    Those behind Made in Gainsborough want to develop a centre of excellence in the town that could see selected students being employed by top Gainsborough firms.

    A Lincolnshire-based company has been awarded further funding to develop drone technology.

    Waldeck in Sleaford, external is working with the University of Huddersfield to research how the flying unmanned cameras can be used in the future.

    The book is an an informal history of the club over the past 50 years featuring 29 fans telling their stories and sharing their memories of following the Imps round the country.

    A Grimsby landlord has defended sending letters to tenants warning them of eviction if they can't keep up with their rent payments after they switch to the government's new Universal Credit benefits system.

    Yesterday the Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and the Prime Minister clashed over the letter sent to some tenants of GAP Properties in North East Lincolnshire.

    The new benefit can take six weeks to go through and Guy Piggott from GAP says he won't wait that long.

    He added the letter to tenants was not an eviction notice but instead a warning for people to make arrangements to carry on with their payments.

    The Department for Work and Pensions say advance payments are widely available from the start of anyone's Universal Credit claim, and that urgent cases are fast-tracked so no one should be without money.

    Christmas lights in Lincoln and Gainsborough will be switched on tomorrow, mince pies are on sale and the Christmas shopping is well and truly under way.

    But for many Christmas is hard - the pressure to spend money, the cost of buying presents and even putting food on the table.

    So staff at Lincolnshire's hospitals are lending a helping hand to people who may struggle over the Christmas period by collecting food hampers.

    Clinical Education Nurse Samantha Macarthy-Full began collecting food hampers for local food banks...and the idea has spread.

    A 76-year-old man has been charged with two counts of rape.

    It's alleged the rapes occurred in 1975 in Littleover and in 1984 in Allestree, when the girls were 17 years old.

    John Storer, from Mablethorpe in Lincolnshire, is due to appear before magistrates today.

    A cyclist in in his seventies has died following a collision with a car in Boston.

    It happened on Broadfield Lane last night.

    The driver, a 30-year-old man, has been arrested.

    Any witnesses who have not already spoken to the police are being asked to contact them.

    Now earlier today we told you that Lincolnshire Police are urging churches and farms to check their security measures.

    It follows a rise in metal prices which makes it more attractive to thieves.

    Well this is something members of Tydd St Mary's Church know all too well.

    Its roof has been targeted by thieves three times.

    Churches and farms in Lincolnshire are being advised to check their security measures because of fears of a rise in metal thefts.

    The police say the price of lead, copper and steel has increased making it attractive to thieves.

    An 88-year-old man who lost thousands of pounds to scammers has been speaking to the BBC about his experience.

    The victim, who didn't want to be identified, says he still gets letters from people trying to catch him out.

    It comes after trading standards revealed that people in Lincolnshire lost over £2m to postal scammers in just 18 months.
