    Police investigating a "complex and lengthy" fraud case in Lincolnshire have issued CCTV images of a man who they say may be able to help with their enquiries.

    The victim was an elderly resident of a care home in the town who had money withdrawn from a bank account last March via cash machine transactions and shop purchases.

    Anyone with information, or who can identify the man in the picture, is being asked to contact police.

    This was the scene in the city yesterday as hundreds of Santas took part in Lincoln's annual Santa Fun Run, external.

    The organisers say it's been a big success and it will be back bigger and better next year.

    Tens of thousands of pounds was raised for local charities.

    A decision is expected to be made later on plans for a new supermarket and pub in Barton.

    The application, by Lidl, to build on Top Field is recommended for approval despite opposition from residents.

    Lidl says it believes the development would enhance local customer choice and says it's committed to keeping green areas of the site.

    There's been an increase in the number of burglaries in the Louth area, police have warned.

    As a result, local residents are being urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.

    To make homes even more secure, police are advising people to close their curtains when it becomes dark, lock doors and make sure all security lights work.

    From today until Saturday, the buses will operate from Bishop Grosseteste University rather than their current base at Waitrose.

    The move is to allow spaces in the car park to be used by Waitrose customers during the final run-up to Christmas.

    A boy charged with possessing an air weapon and a blade at a Lincolnshire school with intent to cause fear of violence has appeared at Lincoln Youth Court.

    The 13-year-old, who can't be named because of his age, was arrested last month in the south of the county.

    He's been remanded in custody and is expected to appear in court again on 12 January.

    About 1,000 people filled Lincoln Cathedral last night for a very special Christmas carol service.

    Doctors at Lincoln County Hospital A&E say the department is still coming under pressure from large numbers of patients, even though more staff have been recruited.

    Doctors there treat about 9,000 more patients a year than eight years ago and government waiting time targets haven't been met there since 2014.

    Earlier this year, people were asked to stay away from the unit unless it was an emergency.

    Staffing levels have improved, but doctors are still having to treat many people who don't need emergency care.

    Lincolnshire Police are appealing for information after a number of mobile phones were stolen from the Vodafone shop on Strait Bargate in Boston.

    It happened at about 16:00 on Friday 1 December.

    Officers say they want to speak to the four men pictured below.

    Three suspected arson attacks are being investigated by police in Grimsby.

    All the incidents happened in East Marsh between 21:30 and 22:00 on Tuesday 12 December.

    Rubbish was deliberately set alight close to properties in Victor Street (pictured), Stanage Walk and Tom Hammond Way, police believe.

    All the fires were safely extinguished and nobody was injured.

    From today, if you're caught and charged with drink-driving in Lincolnshire you'll be named by police on social media.

    It marks the start of the force's Think Don't Drink campaign over the festive period.

    Critics argue the police are acting as judge and jury by officially naming those charged with drink-driving.

    But police say the names of those facing prosecution do still appear in publicly accessible court listings:

    The discovery of a body in Lincolnshire is being linked to the disappearance of a teenager who went missing after a night out in Cleethorpes.

    Police investigating the whereabouts of 19-year-old Liam Toner say the body of a young man was found at Holton-le-Clay just before midnight on Saturday.

    The death is being treated as unexplained.

    You may remember that last month the team at BBC Radio Lincolnshire undertook quite a challenge.

    Breakfast presenter Scott Dalton and newsreader Corazon Garcia walked the 147-mile Viking Way for Children in Need.

    There were some difficulties along the way, with both Scott and Corazon having to take breaks due to some sizable blisters and sheer exhaustion.

    But, with a little help from the rest of the BBC Radio Lincolnshire family, they got to the end.

    Yesterday was the final day to donate to the cause and I can reveal the final total was £16,020.91.

    Not bad at all!
