The Iron's manager (pictured) had hoped to sign the striker but he decided to join Oldham on loan instead.

Alexander says he’s confident the team have a strong enough squad to maintain their promotion push despite the loss of strikers Paddy Madden and Kevin Van Veen in January.

The manager says he didn't want to lose Van Veen but his contract ends in the summer so it made "good sense" for the club.

A police chief's call to punish drivers for going 1mph over the limit has been criticised.

Lincoln Crown Court heard the stabbing happened after a fight broke out over a deal to sell crack cocaine.

The Old King's Head, in Kirton, near Boston, was in a dire state (pictured) when Heritage Lincolnshire took over care of the site.

Liz Bates, from Heritage Lincolnshire, says the restoration has been "really exciting" and has helped raise the profile of the project "hugely":

    Quote Message

This crowdfunding campaign is our most successful individual giving campaign to date. We've learned lots of really valuable lessons about how to develop this in the future. We are so grateful to the community for their support and we were amazed to see from how far afield our supporters were too."

The Toll Bar roundabout will be removed and replaced with traffic lights at a cost of £2.1m, a plan which has attracted opposition from local residents.
