Women at the race track between Louth & Horncastle (pictured) walk out in front of drivers with promotional messages.

Their role has been called into question after it was announced that walk-on girls will no longer be used in Professional Darts Corporation events.

Some women's groups have called for an end to grid girls and Formula 1 says the practice is "under strong review".

Cadwell Park doesn't employ any themselves, but teams who come to the track do sometimes bring them.

    Quote Message

One is a rally driver and she also does marketing work as a grid girl, and I know a motorcycle racer who is also a grid girl, they're very intelligent and talented people... It's completely their choice, from a personal point of view knowing these girls it's very much a marketing role, they're very savvy when it comes to representing a brand, business or a team. And it's their choice.
