  15. GP warns increasing debt could see NHS services cutpublished at 11:17 British Summer Time 16 April 2018

    Lizzie Musham
    BBC Local Live, Lincolnshire

Unless funding increases NHS services in Lincolnshire will be reduced - that's the message from GPs in the county.

    Lincolnshire hospitals

They say the public will have to decide what treatments they still want to be available.

Health services in the county, including hospitals and Clinical Commissioning Groups, have overspent by an estimated £89m.

Managers say they're already making savings with the aim of reducing the deficit.

But Dr Kieran Sharrock, who represents Lincolnshire's GPs, says in order to save money some NHS services could be cut.

    Quote Message

I think realistically unless funding increases the system in Lincolnshire will have to cut its cloth accordingly, services will be shrunk within the acute sector within the hospitals, prescribing will significantly be reduced by GPs and there will be a debate with the public about what services don't you want to have anymore'
