    Police are appealing for witnesses after a child was knocked to the floor by a man in Lincoln city centre.

    It happened last Wednesday afternoon in an alleyway between Iceland and Uniform Direct near the High Street.

    A man reportedly pushed past a family and knocked the four-year-old to the floor before racially abusing the child's mum.

    The man is described as in his late 30's, wearing a black leather jacket, jeans and a checked shirt.

    He is reported to have run across Tentercroft Street car park, in the direction of Sincil Bank.

    A man has been charged with wounding after one man suffering serious stab injuries during a "serious altercation" in Boston.

    Police said the stabbing happened outside a watch repair shop in West Street, at 02:15 BST on Saturday.

    A man in his 20s was stabbed and was taken to Pilgrim Hospital with a serious injury.

    Rafal Grochowski aged 20 of Willoughby Road, Boston has been charged with wounding with intent and will appear at Lincoln Magistrates' Court

    A teenager who was arrested in connection with the attack has since been released under investigation.

    A large area north of Lincoln is experiencing water supply issues following a burst water main.

    People living in Washingborough, Heighington and the surrounding area have little or no running water at the moment.

    Anglian Water says supply should hopefully be back to normal by 1300 GMT.

    Meet the litter pickers doing it for themselves in East Yorkshire, nine-year-old Isabelle and her little sister Lucy.

    Isabelle was inspired by the BBC Blue Planet series and has been clearing up the rubbish in her area.

    She's not the only one to take it upon themselves to make their community a better place to live.

    Numerous groups in Grimsby now regularly carry out litter picks, including the Community Shop on the Nunsthorpe estate.

    It is hoped more youngsters will be motivated to help.

    Officials behind Boston's marathon say they are thrilled with the response to the event.

    Yesterday's marathon, half-marathon and fun run attracted around 1,300 runners, that's almost double the number who entered last year's event.

    The Boston Marathon's course is thought to be the flattest in the UK.

    One of the country's most prolific comedy writers, Neil Shand, has died at the age of 84.

    Neil lived the latter part of his life in North Lincolnshire.

    During a career lasting 40 years, he worked on more a thousand shows with David Frost and wrote jokes for Spike Milligan, Kenny Everett and Bob Monkhouse among others.
