    A couple have been found guilty of the manslaughter of a homeless man who died following an attack on a Grimsby street.

    Anthony Richardson, 45, died in hospital after he was assaulted outside the Halifax Bank in Old Market Place on 15 January.

    Marc Finnie, 44, and his wife Sarah, 36, of Sutcliffe Avenue, Grimsby, will be sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday.

    A 35-year-old man was found not guilty of assisting an offender.

    Have you seen William O'Boyle? He's been missing from Grimsby since early this month and police say they're increasingly concerned for his welfare.

    The 39-year-old was last seen on Freeman Street in Grimsby and hasn't contacted his family and friends since he went missing.

    Mr O'Boyle is described as white, about 5ft 11ins tall, of slim build with dark brown hair.

    Anyone with information about his whereabouts is being asked to contact police.

    French police have confirmed the body of a man found in an Alpine ski resort is that of John Bromell from Lincolnshire.

    Mr Bromell, from Willingham by Stow, near Gainsborough, went missing in Tignes in January.

    At the time of his disappearance there was more than 3ft of snow reported in the resort, and a warning about the risk of avalanches had been issued.

    A full-scale search by French police was hampered by what was described as the "terrible conditions".

    The 26 pieces of art have been designed and created by community groups, during workshops held with local artists, in Winterton.

    The trail is free and opens to the public tomorrow. It runs until 14 September.

    Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter films, is attending the premiere of her film in Lincoln today.

    The 25-year-old has turned to directing since appearing in the film franchise.

    Medusa's Ankles, which stars fellow Potter alumni Jason Isaacs, is being shown as part of Mansions of The Future, a £1m arts project in the city.

    It's being screened at a slightly unusual venue - The Sincil Salon in the city centre.

    About 3,500 people are expected at the Drill Hall to wet their whistles over the next three days.

    Out of the 104 ales on offer, 14 have a Royal Air Force theme to tie in with the 100 year anniversary of the service.

  13. Householder attacked with metal bar during break-inpublished at 10:36 British Summer Time 24 May 2018

    Police are appealing for witnesses after the occupant of a house in North Hykeham was hit with a metal bar by a man trying to get into the property.

    The attack happened at about 22:30 on 18 May as two men tried to gain access to the house on Lincoln Road.

    After being disturbed, one of the men ran off through the gardens of nearby properties to escape, while the other man hit the victim with a bar before fleeing down Lincoln Road.

    The attacker is described as white, in his early 30s, wearing a woollen hat and a dark jacket or jumper.

    Anyone with information about the incident is being asked to contact police.

  15. Lincoln Cathedral concert marks RAF centenarypublished at 09:33 British Summer Time 24 May 2018

    One of the major events to commemorate 100 years of the RAF takes places in Lincoln Cathedral tonight when the Band of the RAF College performs at a special concert.

    The band, which is based at RAF Cranwell, near Sleaford, has taken part in a series of anniversary events so far this year - but it's the first time they will take centre stage.

    The concert will take place in front of an audience of more than 1,000 people, including World War Two veterans.

    The road is now blocked in both directions north of Lincoln because of a crash near Riseholme Lane

    Traffic is now really starting to build up for people approaching the city from the south as well after the crash near St Rumbold's we told you about earlier.

    At one point, it was backed up all the way to Branston.

    People living in North East Lincolnshire are being told not to leave their wheelie bins out too long.

    North East Lincolnshire Council is sending warning letters as a deterrent in a bid to make the region tidier.

    Neil Clark, from the council, says about 400 warning letters have been issued so far.

    "We're really pleased that we've already seen a positive improvement across the borough," he says.
