    North East Lincolnshire Council is asking people to report rogue landlords as part of a crackdown in the area.

    I accompanied inspection officers as they made a number of unannounced visits to properties in Immingham last night.

    Officers told me they target properties where it's believed landlords were renting out unlicensed and unsafe houses to multiple people.

    Housing manager Jacqui Wells told me these overcrowded properties were often being let to vulnerable people.

    A man's been left in intensive care following a collision in Boston last night.

    Police say the 30-year-old was walking along Sleaford Road at around 21:15 when he was hit by a black Land Rover.

    He was taken to Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham.

    The driver, a 32-year-old local man, has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and leaving the scene of a collision.

    Protesters fighting the proposed closure of beds at Louth Hospital say they need to see more evidence why the move would be of benefit to the town.

    A consultation is currently under way over the proposals to remove 40 beds permanently from the site.

    But campaigners who met health managers last night have said they were left unconvinced.

    Tracey Pilcher, Chief Nurse at Lincolnshire East Clinical Commissioning Group, says health bosses in the town are listening to what people have to say on the issue.

    Lincolnshire has lost more than a fifth of its banks over the last eight years, it's emerged.

    Figures obtained by the BBC show that since 2010 a total of 30 have closed in the county.

    A campaign group is turning waste food into great dishes in order to cut the amount of food waste in Lincoln.

    The Lincoln Food Partnership, a group of representatives from schools, charities and businesses in the city, hopes to draw attention to the amount of food we all throw away each day.

    Angelina Padmore Clarke, from the Mint Street Café in Lincoln, says it's "satisfying" to know that the food they use, which would have gone to landfill, is being put to good use.

    Grantham and Stamford's MP has reacted angrily to the Prime Minister's refusal to rule out staying tied to EU rules for longer than expected.

    She says she'd consider extending the Brexit transition period, but only by a few months.

    Pharmacists in Lincolnshire say they're struggling to get stocks of a new flu vaccine for the over 65s, external.

    The vaccine is expected to significantly boost effectiveness by improving the body’s immune response to the vaccine.

    Aysha Miah at Barrow Pharmacy says there is demand for the vaccine, but they can't get hold of it.

    A spokesperson for NHS England denied there was a shortage.

    They added that pharmacists and GPs are expected to get everyone vaccinated before the end of the year.

    A new task force has been established to encourage Lincolnshire folk to reduce the size of their yellowbellies.

    It suggested one in six premature deaths in the UK are related to the lack of physical inactivity - the same level as smoking.

    The task force plan to bring together decision makers to help build activity into everyday life across the county.

    Jayne Mitchell, from the group, says sometimes decision makers are inadvertently discouraging physical activity.

    More people who are willing to adopt more than one child at the same time are needed in Lincolnshire.

    Officials say nearly half of children who need a permanent home in the county are brothers and sisters.

    However, Lincolnshire County Council say not enough people wanting to adopt are willing to take siblings.

    Humberside Police have put out an appeal to find 26-year-old Kirsty Allen from Scunthorpe.

    Officers said Ms Allen has failed to appear at court and is wanted for a breach of court order.

    They said the force has carried out a number of checks to try and locate her without success.

    There's been praise for a pilot from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) after he flew a spitfire for the final time.

    Andy Millikin, the officer commanding the BBMF, has flown historic planes from RAF Coningsby around the country.

    In response to the announcement of his departure, social media users praised the pilot for his service.

    On Twitter, Tom Black said: "What a year to finish on though with some of the most magnificent displays and events.

    "Thanks so much for all you've done and all the best for the future."

    Another said: "Congrats on an awesome job."

    Trainee nurses should be given free tuition to save money, a Lincolnshire MP has claimed.

    Labour's Karen Lee, who represents Lincoln, says the NHS is spending too much on agency nurses and not enough money to encourage people to learn the trade.

    In Wales and Scotland, it costs nothing to learn to be a nurse but in England student nurses can pay up to £9,000 per year.

    Filming of a new ITV drama starring Hollywood star Rob Lowe is set to begin in Boston on November 7, it's been revealed.

    It was announced that the West Wing and Parks and Recreation star (pictured) will be appearing in the six part TV drama, earlier this month.

    The show will follow an American police chief out of his comfort zone in the rural market town.

    It seems the production team want to get a taste of Boston's traditional market, because filming is scheduled for the weekly market day (pictured below).

    Council letters to traders in the town say it will happen on Wednesday 7 November, and that it is likely to cause changes to the layout of the stalls.

    Market traders are to be compensated by ITV for the disruption.

    A 39-year-old man has been released under investigation after a drug operation in Lincoln last night.

    The man had been arrested on suspicion of a separate theft incident, according to police.

    He was arrested during a police operation into so-called county lines gangs in Lincoln.

    Big names from the cycling world are expected in Lincolnshire for a new event next year.

    The Bourne Cicle Classic will be a 175km road race for professionals.

    It is being pitched as a warm up to the Tour of Britain and the UCI World Championships, which takes place in Yorkshire.

    The event is scheduled to being near the town's war memorial.

    Professional cyclists who are expected to participate include Anna Henderson, Karl Lawrenson, Rebecca Durrell and Colin Clews.

    A suspected firearm has been found during a police operation at a property in Lincoln.

    A home on St Rumbold's Street was targeted by officers as part of an investigation into so-called "county lines" drugs gangs.

    Roads in the area were cordoned off at about 18:00 last night.

    A 39-year-old man was arrested during the operation in connection with a separate theft offence, police say.

    Police say they're becoming increasingly worried for a missing Grimsby woman who hasn't been in contact with her family for several weeks.

    She's known to have connections with Manchester, but police say they're struggling to find her or establish where she is.
