Schools must urgently be told how to deal with reports of sexual assault, an MP has said, amid the Westminster sleaze scandal.

Labour MP for Walthamstow Stella Creasy said the recent allegations of sexual abuse and harassment in Parliament should in part be addressed by "teaching our young people to respect each other".

Speaking in the House of Commons, she added that 25 sexual assaults are reported in schools every day, before urging the Government to fast-track a policy on what schools should do if an allegation is made.

Education Secretary Justine Greening said interim guidance would be issued this term.

But Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe had said she was there on holiday and the Thomson Reuters Foundation has urged Mr Johnson to correct his "serious mistake".

The Foreign Office is yet to comment.
