    It's being reported in The Telegraph, external that two potential bidders for the Silverstone Circuit have walked away from talks about buying the Northamptonshire venue, which is home to the British Grand Prix.

    It's claimed both Jaguar Land Rover and the entrepreneur Lawrence Tomlinson have given up on securing deals, which could have provided much needed funding for the circuit's current owners - the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC).

    BRDC says it won't comment on the sale of the circuit until any potential deal is in place and we've contacted Jaguar and Mr Tomlinson for comment.

    National League North side Brackley Town will be in tonight's draw for the FA Cup second round after they drew 2-2 at League One Gillingham.

    The non-league side, who knocked the Gills out of the cup in 2013, took control early on thanks to goals from Alex Gudger and Jimmy Armson.

    Frank Nouble pulled a goal back, then fired in his second of the game just before half-time, but Brackley held on for the replay.

    Northampton Town had no problems in advancing past non-league Harrow Borough in the first round of the FA Cup.

    Skipper Marc Richards scored twice as the Cobblers put six past the Isthmian League side.

    Another breezy and cold day, with north to north easterly winds and showers mixed in. 

    The showers will move further south through parts of Suffolk and Essex - with one or two feeding in from The Wash later.

  5. Disruption on trains between Northampton and Birminghampublished at 08:30 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2016

    London Midland says there's disruption on train services between Northampton and Birmingham due to emergency services dealing with an incident.

    It says trains may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes and there is a replacement bus service now in place.

    London Midland says the disruption is likely to last for at least two hours.
