The traffic around Weston Park looks better this evening than it did first thing this morning, but with more people still arriving for the V Festival, it's not over yet.

And there is still a warning of slow-moving traffic on the A41, near Tong.

This weekend's V Festival at Weston Park will be headlined by Rhianna on Saturday and Justin Bieber on Sunday, external.

Bieber has already said he's planning the "biggest stage production" in V's 21-year history - one part will see 800 gallons of purified, 40C water soak the star at the front of the stage.

Other performers this weekend who will perform at both the festival's Weston Park site and Hylands Park, Chelmsford include Jess Glynne, Little Mix, David Guetta, Kaiser Chiefs, Travis, Rita Ora and Faithless.

Shropshire Wildlife Trust is getting £1m from a National Lottery fund, external to pay for projects designed to teach young people about the environment and help them get jobs in the field.

It is one of 31 schemes around the country to get one of these grants and young people in the county will be encouraged to get involved in conservation work, starting in the Oswestry and Ellesmere areas next month.

The courses will teach skills such as hedge-laying, wildlife identification and how to clear plants out of ponds.

Shropshire Revolution, external travel to Yorkshire to face the Leeds Bobcats in the playoffs this weekend.

It's only the fourth time they've made it into the post-season and after the disappointment of last season's relegation it's a chance to prove a point.

Their opponents narrowly beat the Chester Romans to the NFC II title, finishing with a 9-1 record, so the Revolution will know they're in for a tough game.

The Met Office is warning, external of "unseasonably strong winds" and blustery showers tomorrow.

It says there could be gusts of up to 50 mph (80kph) and possible disruption to traffic and outdoor activities.

Hope all those tents at the V Festival are well-secured.

Shropshire's entry in the new series of Robot Wars carries a weapon which claims to pack more power than a sniper's bullet.

Pulsar has been built by Ellis Ware and his parents, Peter and Tara, and is armoured with 8mm (0.3 inch) thick steel plates.

Its main weapon is a flywheel which spins at 9000rpm (220mph) and can toss opponents into the air. It also contains parts produced on a 3D printer.

Lee Fowler has left AFC Telford United after he and the club agreed to cancel his contract.

Our experiment to try to grow mangel-wurzels is going well.

They were a fashionable crop in the 17th and 18th centuries, but are rarely seen on a commercial scale these days.

We've been growing them with the help of Ellesmere farmer Stephen Jones and this is what they looked like in June.

And when I went to see them today, they were looking a lot bigger.
