    Among the thousands of acts at this summer's Edinburgh Fringe festival are a group from Shrewsbury School.

    They're putting on a performance of Great Expectations and say while it's not sold out, it is proving popular.

    Four Sea King helicopters have been moved from one side of RAF Cosford to the other - not an easy task, because of their size.

    Staff at the base had to remove fence panels and move them across roads, while avoiding things like trees and lamp posts.

    The aircraft are now in a hangar used to teach trainee engineers about avionics.

    We had been expecting Jeremy Corbyn to attend a rally in Oakengates today - as part of his campaign to win over voters in the Labour leadership election.

    But that appearance was called off without explanation on Friday.

    It's been suggested by his supporters in Telford that it was a clash of schedules and this morning he took part in leadership debate with his rival Owen Smith on the BBC's Victoria Derbyshire programme.

    The delays on the M54 today started at rush hour this morning and at one stage queuing traffic stretched back as far as Telford.

    The road only fully reopened in the last hour.

    The Highways Agency has explained that it took so long because the A5 between Wellington and Shrewsbury had to be resurfaced after damage caused by a three-car crash and a separate lorry fire.

    The Ministry of Defence says that clearing the Copthorne Barracks site will make it more attractive to developers - so it can sell for a higher price and make more money for the taxpayer.

    The MoD has agreed to leave the central building, known as Caldwell Keep, but points out that while most of the buildings are Victorian, they aren't listed.

    The MoD aims to produce a planning application for the redevelopment of the site next month and to have the barracks sold by next summer.

    The planned redevelopment of Copthorne Barracks site in Shrewsbury could include the creation of 229 homes.

    The Ministry of Defence, which is putting the site up for sale, is also suggesting there could be a retirement home there.

    The MoD plans are on display at Shrewsbury Town's stadium today and they also include the conversion of the old parade ground into a landscaped square.

    The organisers of the Shrewsbury Fields Forever music festival say they decided to cancel the event because Shrewsbury Town Council refused them permission to hold it in The Quarry.

    But, Shrewsbury Town Council says it had no choice, blaming a lack of information from the organisers and a failure to meet the council's set of values.

    The council said it had worked hard to allow the rescheduled festival to take place and made the decision with "great reluctance".

    It was originally scheduled for 15-17 July and postponed late in the day.

    The Shrewsbury Fields Forever music festival has been cancelled and the company running will cease trading, organisers have announced.

    It comes after Shrewsbury Town Council refused permission to hold the event in The Quarry next month saying it could not be assured of "good event planning".

    Dene Edwards, the director of Forever Invasion Ltd, said that because an insolvency company has been brought in, people with tickets will have to make a claim through their debit or credit cards if they want a refund.
