Work to rebuild part of the Severn Valley Railway's Bridgnorth station has been held up, because the foundations aren't ready yet.

The foundations should have been complete by the end of January, but it says they will take another five weeks and the brickwork will have to wait until the foundations are finished.

But the railway said a lot of progress was still being made and that the delay had allowed them to carry out more planning and to get some of the fittings needed to decorate the station house, bar and toilet block, once they are complete.
