The police say two people were seen running away from the scene.

The man responsible for organising the V Festival, which takes place at Weston Park this weekend, said it has to constantly evolve to keep up with the times.

For instance, Andy Redhead explained that 10 years ago almost everyone brought tents and camped on the site, but now they sold a lot of day-tickets to people who go home at the end of each day.

Mr Redhead said they also had to keep up with current musical trends and watch what their competitors were doing, to make sure they get the best acts.

This year's big act will be Jay Z and he said it was the only European festival the rapper had agreed to do.

If you're watching Songs of Praise this weekend you might spot St Andrew's church in Wroxeter.

It features in a report by the former JLS star JB Gill on "champing" - a form of holiday-making which involves staying in a church.

It will be his debut on the programme, which is on BBC One on Sunday at 14:15.

Routine bag searches by Staffordshire Police turned up the tablets and the 17-year-old from Stone's been arrested for possession with intent to supply.

Separately, the force says a 16-year-old boy was thrown out of the event after 28 MDMA pills were seized from him and he was also referred to youth offending for rehabilitation.

Blists Hill Victorian Town is showing off some of its steam-powered machines this weekend.

They include a replica of Richard Trevithick's 1802 Coalbrookdale locomotive (pictured below) - believed to be the world's first passenger steam locomotive.

Other machines included a steam-powered road roller, a fire pump and ploughing engines.

There will also be a number of engines around Ironbridge throughout the weekend.

A man from Telford who was stationed on Christmas Island when nuclear tests were carried out in the 1950s and 60s has called for recognition for his fellow veterans.

Maurice Viney from Trench was one of around 21,000 British servicemen who were exposed to these tests and fewer than 3,000 are thought to be alive today, external.

He said he was there for about 14 months and there were four tests carried out in that time - now he has to have a blood test every 12 months to monitor the effects.

The AFC Telford United manager, Rob Edwards, is looking to build a little squad-togetherness on their away trip to Darlington this weekend.

They are travelling up today and staying overnight, so they're planning to have a quiz in their hotel as a team-bonding exercise.

And Edwards said that while they want to avoid "living in each other's pockets" it was important for them to get to know each other.

For those not familiar with how the event works, it takes place over two sites, one at Weston Park and the other in Essex.

Performers appear at both locations, swapping over the two nights.

West Midlands Trains Ltd says it will put £1bn into improving the routes it takes over from London Midland.

The plans include 400 new carriages, free wifi and space for an extra 85,000 passengers on rush-hour services in Birmingham and London.

More than 600 people have gathered to pay tribute to 19-year-old James Corfield, who died after disappearing from the Royal Welsh Show last month.

The celebration featured tributes from his brother and sister and was held at Montgomery Cricket Club where the teenager played.

People arrived at the event wearing items of blue clothing as James had done when he was last seen.

Blue balloons lined the pavilion and blue car board hearts were included within the orders of service for people to share memories of James, who was a member of the Chirbury and Marton Young Farmers group.
