AFC Telford United have an opportunity to bounce back from two successive defeats when they play Curzon Ashton in Greater Manchester tonight.

Telford lost 2-0 to Salford at the Bucks Head on Saturday and 3-1 to Brackley at home on the previous Tuesday, turning their opening day win at York into a distant memory.

Tonight's opponents have won one of their three games so far and aren't expected to be among the challengers for promotion this season.

Telford's manager Rob Edwards wants his team to be better on the ball.

We need to be able to keep the ball in their final third more, so we need to be a little bit more ice cold when we're in possession. It comes down to fine details."

There's a case here whereby history shouldn't cause injury or a possible death, and I nearly died. If they're of historical interest they could be closed and put in a glass case or they could be repaired."

A spokesperson for Shropshire Council said that the many historical features across Shropshire that are maintained by the council are inspected for safety defects on a regular basis and any identified defect is repaired in a timely fashion.
