    An appeal by a truck driver from Rotherham for the driver murdered in the Berlin terrorist attack has raised more than £90,000.

    David Duncan set up a fundraising page, external for Lukasz Urban's family after the driver was killed on Monday.

    People with multiple sclerosis, external are considering treatment abroad because they don't qualify for a procedure in the UK. 

    The treatment, external here - which has been undergoing trials in Sheffield - is not suitable for everyone and comes with significant risks. 

    Six months ago Angela Austwick who's 33 and from Thorne was diagnosed with MS.

    Visit to Children's Hospital

    Food for the homeless and toys for needy children have been shared by Ahmadiyya Muslim Association.

    Volunteers have helped at Sheffield Children's Hospital and at the Cathedral Archer Project in the city centre, which helps those without a home to call their own.

  10. Watch: Ex miners pay tribute to those killed at Grimethorpe pitpublished at 17:26 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2016

    People who worked in Grimethorpe Colliery have gathered in the Barnsley village to pay tribute to miners who died at work. 

    More than a 150 miners lost their lives at Grimethorpe between 1894 and when it closed in 1993. 

    More men from the village died at the pit than during two world wars. 

    A minute's silence was held at the memorial at St Luke's church.

    A lorry driver from Rotherham has started a fundraising effort for one of the victims of the recent Berlin lorry attack.

    Writing on his fundraising page, external, David Duncan has already attracted pledges of more than £50,000.

    A man's been robbed of a cash box on his way to a bank in Wickersley.

    Police say it contained a significant amount of money.

    This happened at the Tanyard Shopping centre yesterday and there's an appeal for witnesses.

    A man from Sheffield has called on the council to stop wasting public money on unnecessary repeat services. 

    Nev Barrett received a letter last week, informing him the council would be conducting an asbestos check at his property - but it's already passed similar surveys twice, and this is now the fourth time one has been requested.

    A spokesman for Sheffield City Council says they have a duty to manage the risk from asbestos in council homes, and that the Health and Safety Executive has set new standards for asbestos monitoring since 2007 so they have been re-surveying homes.

    Shoppers on the Moor In Sheffield have been enjoying rubbing noses, almost literally, with a pair of police horses today.

    A catchy song written in Sheffield highlighting the risks posed by chip pan fires has reached millions of TV viewers today.

    The song Chip Pan features South Yorkshire firefighters and Sheffield band the Everly Pregnant Brothers.

    They're hoping it'll make the Christmas Number One slot to highlight the message even further:

    Former Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg wants the government to halve the prison population. 

    The Sheffield Hallam Liberal Democrat MP has joined former Cabinet Ministers Ken Clarke and Jacqui Smith to say overcrowded jails are dangerous and ineffective. 

    Mr Clegg says today's penal system had some serious problems:
