    Doncaster Rovers goalkeeper Marko Marosi will have a scan today on an injured ankle, after he was stretchered off during last night's win over Portsmouth.

    Sheffield Wednesday will be without midfielder Keiran Lee for around three to four months. Lee has undergone surgery on a hip injury that has plagued him this season.

    Manor Racing have gone into administration and will collapse without new investment.

    A source close to the team told BBC Sport that staff were informed of the development on Friday.

    The UK team, that were once based in Dinnington, finished 11th and last in the championship last season and have been in talks with new investors but so far no deal has been concluded.

    A man, who is serving a seven year sentence for two robberies, has absconded from an open prison in Doncaster.

    Ricky-Lee Langford, 30, was reported missing from HMP Hatfield, in Thorne Road, on Friday 30 December.

    South Yorkshire Police say they think Langford will try to avoid being arrested and could be violent.

    A man from Rotherham, who was run over and lost a leg in 2013, is demanding an apology from the Department for Work and Pensions for being sent on five 'Work Capability Assessments'.

    Lee Inman, 49, was a roofer when he had his leg amputated after a serious car accident.

    He says the experience of dealing with the DWP and the medical assessment company Maximus, has made him ill, depressed and angry.

    Ambitious plans to bring more shoppers into a part of Rotherham town centre are being considered by Rotherham Council but planners have recommended that the application be refused.

    The owners of the Old Town Hall on Frederick Street, want to set up a new permanent weekday market in the arcade there, following a revamp earlier this year.

    Twenty jobs have been lost after a skip company have been placed into liquidation.

    Mr Rubble, on Stevenson Road, Sheffield, say they've struggled with the increase in cost of permits to handle waste.

    The firm, known for its bright orange skips, had traded since 2001 and had heavily invested in recycling systems to meeting increasing regulations on waste management and disposal.

    Three teenagers have been injured in a serious crash in Shafton, Barnsley this morning.

    Two 15-year-old boys and an 18-year-old man were taken to hospital after the car they were travelling in crashed on a bend on Sandybridge Lane just after midnight.

    The driver left the scene, leaving his passengers with serious or life-threatening injuries, South Yorkshire Police said.

    Police want to hear from anyone who saw the crash, that involved a blue Peugeot 106.

    Today is the deadline for the candidates of the Brinsworth and Catcliffe by-election that will take place next month.

    The seat was left vacant after the previous councillor, Andrew Roddison, stepped down after his conviction for sexual assault.

    The Conservatives, Labour, the Lib Dems and UKIP have all announced their candidates for the poll on 2 February.

    A man has been arrested after starting a fire in a block of flats on Wednesday.

    The 39-year-old man from Sheffield has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life after the fire on Lowedges Crescent, Sheffield.

    The fire started in the stairwell of the flats. No one was injured.
