    A barge in Rotherham has been gutted by a fire.

    A man and woman escaped the blaze which happened at 23:45 on the canal at Main Street on Monday.

    Four fire crews from Rotherham, Aston and Adwick dealt with the fire.

    An investigation has been launched however South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service believe the cause is accidental.

    An investigation's been launched into the death of an 81-year-old man who died after being hit by a tram in Sheffield.

    The Rail Accident Investigation Branch will look into what happened in December at the Woodbourn Road tram stop.

    The pedestrian had got off an inbound tram when he was hit by another heading in the opposite direction at 13mph.

    Contractors Amey say their workers are stuck in that congestion and they think it'll take another half an hour to remove.
