A Suffolk chicken farmer has told us he's been braced for another outbreak of bird flu for the past five or six years.
From today, all poultry in England has to be kept indoors, for the next 30 days.
The aim is to protect birds from a strain of avian flu circulating throughout mainland Europe.
Alaistaire Brice, from Havensfield Eggs near Eye, said: "It's a problem which we don't really have an answer to.
"As farmers we can do everything we can to protect our flocks and ensure the welfare of our birds, but it's in the wild bird population and you get birds congregating on parks, and places like that where people are feeding them.
"It's a real problem and a headache for the whole of the industry, and for wildlife in general."
