A crowdfunding page for the family of York girl Katie Rough has obviously touched people's hearts as it has now surpassed £14,500.
The fundraising bid was set up by York mum Maggie Jackson who says she wanted to help Katie's family as they deal with the seven-year-old's death.
Katie died on Monday after being found with serious injuries in Woodthorpe.
A 15-year-old girl who's charged with her murder is due to appear at Leeds Crown Court on Friday after being remanded to secure accommodation yesterday.
Earlier this morning, the amount raised on the GoFundMe page stood at about £8,500, but that sum has now almost doubled in the past few hours.
