Are Scotland's speeding drivers being unfairly targeted?
Alan from Orkney: "Is increase in accidents of 14 per cent due to speeding alone? Careless driving can be a factor in many accidents and a lorry doing 40 will cause frustration and drivers taking risks."
Dave from Falkirk: "Studies have shown that speed doesn't kill , bad driving does, but speed is the easy target."
Hector from Fife: "You mentioned increased road deaths as though this is a speeding problem when it is bad driving that is the cause. Unfortunately since Police Scotland came into being, there are fewer Police patrol cars on the road to prevent and detect dangerous driving, hence an increase in fatal road accidents. Speed cameras don't catch dangerous drivers. Uniformed police patrols do!"
