Spending Review: Winter fuel payment ends in warm countries
British people who live in warmer European countries are to set to lose their winter fuel allowance from the UK government, the chancellor announced.
George Osborne said it would be withdrawn from people in European countries with an average winter temperature higher than the UK.
It was later revealed this would affect those in Portugal, Spain, Greece, France, Gibraltar and Cyprus.
