The English Premier League 2024-25 season comes to an end on Sunday.

4pm kick offs

The final weekend of the Premier League season is the only time that all ten matches start at the exact same time, on the same day: Sunday at 4pm.
It's done this way to keep things fair. At this point in the season, lots of teams are still trying to achieve a higher league position, so they can play in big European tournaments next year, like top five qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
If some teams played their games later than others, they would already know what score they needed to move up in the standings.
That could give teams playing later an unfair advantage.
So by having all the games happen at the same time, no team knows exactly what's happening in the other matches, which makes it more exciting and fair for everyone.
Even though players and managers might hear updates from fans or people on the bench, anything can happen right up until the final whistle.
Parties at Anfield

Expect a Premier League party at Anfield, as the team lifts the Premier League trophy to start their celebrations as title Champions.
It's the 20th top flight league trophy for Liverpool (18 First Division titles and two Premier League trophies), equaling a record set by Manchester United in 2013.
Liverpool last won the Premier League trophy in 2020, but due to coronavirus restrictions, fans were not allowed into the ground to celebrate with the team. So expect big scenes at Anfield on Sunday evening with fans there to watch this time.
An open-top bus parade has also been scheduled in Liverpool and surrounding areas on Monday.
Liverpool fans celebrate team's twentieth Premier League win
Before getting their hands on the trophy, Liverpool are taking on FA Cup winners Crystal Palace in the final game.
The two teams will meet again in August in the Community Shield, where the Premier League winners traditionally face the winners of the FA Cup.
Record breaking Salah

There will be a double celebration at Anfield on Sunday, as Liverpool striker Mo Salah should pick up the league's Golden Boot award as top scorer for the season.
The Egyptian forward is currently on 28 goals for the season while his nearest goal-scoring rival Alexander Isak form Newcastle is on 23.
However, Salah has the chance to set ANOTHER Premier League record in the final game against Crystal Palace.
Salah is just one goal or assist short of the Premier League goal involvement record of 47, held jointly by Alan Shearer and Andrew Cole.
The race for the Champions League

Perhaps the most exciting outcome of the final weekend of fixtures is the race for top five positions and places in next season's Champions League.
Liverpool and Arsenal, in first and second place, have qualified.
Tottenham have also qualified, after their Europa League victory against Man United.
But behind them just two points separate Manchester City, Newcastle, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest.
All five will be chasing a win, hoping to get one of the last two Champions League places.
Who else qualifies for European competition next season?

The Premier League could see up to ten teams in Europe next season, that's half the league!
Uefa Europa League:
This year a Europa League place season will go to the team that ends up in sixth spot.
The other Europa League place goes to the winners of the FA Cup: Crystal Palace, after they beat Man City 1-0 in the final at Wembley.
Uefa Conference League:
The winners of the English League Cup qualify for the European Conference League - that's Newcastle.
But... with Chelsea playing in the UEFA Conference League final next week, that could free up ANOTHER place in Europe for someone else?
Did you manage to follow all that? If not, don't worry, in a few days all that matches will be over, and we'll find out for sure who will be playing where.
