Celtic have won the Scottish Premiership title for the fourth year in a row.

They did it in style by thrashing Dundee United 5-0 at their home stadium, Tannadice Park.

The huge victory means that Celtic have now won the title for the 13th time in 14 seasons.

The result takes them level with city rivals Rangers with 55 top-flight titles in their history.

Brendan Rodgers' side only needed a point to confirm themselves as champions but they sealed it in style.

Celtic dominated from the start and their first goal came from Dundee United's Ryan Strain, who scored an own goal just before the half hour mark.

Nicolas Kuhn scored twice for Celtic before the break to put the Hoops 3-0 up at half-time.

The second half saw Adam Idah add two more goals for Celtic, handing the Glasgow side a huge victory and the Premiership title win.

The title is manager Brendan Rodgers's eleventh major trophy with the Glasgow club.

After the match, Rodgers praised his players for their hard work all season.

He said: "It's such a hard thing to do but for these players from the first day of pre-season right the way through until the end we're going to push and fight to win as many trophies as we can."

And they could be more good news for the club to come.

Celtic face Aberdeen in next month's Scottish Cup final, where a win would mean the Hoops would complete their sixth treble in nine seasons.
