After 15 straight runs Lamar Jackson is now slinging the ball around with the clock ticking down at the end of this first half.

Nelson Agholor hauls in a 25-yard pass and the Ravens scramble up the field as they now look to end the half with a score of some sort as we enter the final 40 seconds.

The way the Steelers have been beating Baltimore over the last few years, and indeed the best way generally to get the win over Baltimore is to stop them running the ball, contain Lamar Jackson and make him win the game through the air.

So far tonight, Pittsburgh can't find any way to stop the Baltimore ground game, and until they do the hosts will just keep on with the ground game.

First of all the Steelers need a stop here.

This is demoralising for Pittsburgh. They know what's coming, they just can't do anything about it.

Baltimore led the league for rushing yards this season, averaging 187.6 per game on offence.

And it's not as if the Steelers can try to beat the Ravens at their own game. Baltimore's defence also led the league by averaging the fewest points per game against the run - 80.1.

It's so hard to take down Derrick Henry.

There's a difference between taking on Henry head on in the gap and taking on in the perimeter when he's at speed, the angles change. You're hoping someone else is there to slow him down because if it's one-on-one you end up with a slap in the face.

We hit the two-minute warning with Pittsburgh set to punt again. The Steelers have just 60 yards of offence and two first downs as they're really struggled on both sides of the ball.

If I needed to pick a photo to sum up Pittsburgh's half so far, it'd be this one...

  6. Almost!published at 02:09 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January

George Pickens is a great downfield threat and Russell Wilson heaves one down to him deep, but he draws a flags for pushing his defender out of the way.

You don't see too many offensive pass interference flags in the NFL, but that was a pretty easy call.

Pittsburgh badly need something, anything, from this drive but Russell Wilson is finding it impossible to get any momentum going as he's being swarmed all over by this Ravens defence.

Guess what? The Ravens run in their second touchdown of the day and it's Derrick Henry barging his way over, lowering that bulky shoulder and breaking tackles before diving into the end zone.

It's an eight yard touchdown run to cap a 13-play drive of 85 yards, which contained 13 runs split between Henry and Lamar Jackson - with just one play from Mark Andrews in there.

No, you don't need to be a gridiron expert to see the plan here for Baltimore, with this 10-play drive so far containing 10 runs! And until Pittsburgh prove they can stop the run then expect Baltimore to keep pounding the rock.

Uh oh - Lamar Jackson takes off yet again on a tricky run, but after being taken down he gets up looking to be in a spot of bother with a look of pain etched on his face.

It doesn't stop him from going on a 10th run of the game on the next play though.

Russell Wilson leads the league in throwing shorts of the sticks, averaging -1.5 yards.

If you're a defence and know that all you've got to do is get around him and get physical with his receivers. We've seen it twice tonight that he's coming up short.

16 - Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry scored 16 rushing touchdowns during the regular season

It’s been a seamless transition for 31-year-old Derrick Henry to the high-powered rushing attack of Baltimore.

Along with his touchdown prowess, only Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley could beat him for most yards on the ground this season (2,003 to 1,921).

Last time Henry featured in a play-off game at M&T Stadium? He helped the unfancied Tennessee Titans beat the number-one seeded Ravens.

The king of the North, Derrick Henry.

This is what the Steelers feared, they did not want Henry running at them down field.

Derrick Henry shows Najee Harris how it's done with a nine-yard run, before returning to punch it in to get the first down and move the chains again.

Imagine trying to tackle this huge running back at full throttle!

In my career playing against Derrick Henry was one of the most devastating things.

I enjoyed it, he's a big guy and a big challenge, but it's one of those where you worry about your defensive secondaries.

Najee Harris with a couple of runs and then a Pat Freiermuth catch that is inches short of the first down - but Mike Tomlin still doesn't go for it on fourth down and opts to punt.

The Steelers really need to get more out of Harris and the ground game - being one dimensional will get them no joy against this Ravens defence.

In case you missed the first game of the NFL's Wildcard Round, here's our report as the Houston Texans blew out the Los Angeles Chargers.

It was all about the defence as opposing quarterback Justin Herbert threw four interceptions, more than in the entire regular season.

  18. Ravens puntpublished at 01:45 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 0-7 Baltimore Ravens

The Steelers start the second quarter by stopping Justice Hill seven yards short of the first down marker so it's a punt for Baltimore - with nobody back there to return it for Pittsburgh. The ball bobbles into the end zone though for a touchback.

    Pittsburgh Steelers 0-7 Baltimore Ravens

Pittsburgh keep Lamar Jackson contained on the first two downs but on third, he picks out a leaping Isaiah Likely with a 25-yard dart.

A breakout tight end this season, Likely has nearly 500 yards this season and is a handy weapon in the Ravens receiving game.

That takes us to the end of the first quarter with the Ravens looking comfortable.
