  1. 'So proud' - Chiefs receive AFC trophypublished at 23:33 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

Time for the presentation of the Lamar Hunt trophy as Kansas City make it four AFC Championships in five years.

Clark Hunt, chairman and CEO: "This was such a special night for us. First off I want to give God the glory and congratulate the Ravens on an amazing year.

"Four years ago, they handed us our first trophy and I gave it to my mum and the first thing she did was kiss it. That shows how much she loved my dad and the Chiefs.

"She would be so proud of Andy Reid, our coaching staff and the entire team tonight."

Head coach Reid: "I am so proud of these guys. This is different - winning down here in Baltimore, but it is a great city. We appreciate the hospitality. Most of all, Kansas City, we love you.

"Spags [Steve Spagnuolo, defensive coordinator] has done an amazing job - all our coordinators did, [Matt] Nagy on offense offensive, Dave Toub on special teams.

"This was a joint effort. Everyone rallied together but that defence, man, they were dirty tough today."

There's no doubt about it now the Kansas City Chiefs are the new all-powerful dynasty of the NFL - not quite the New England Patriots just yet but going to four Super Bowls in five years is not normal, only the Pats and Buffalo Bills can match it.

And they're challenging in different ways, starting out as a high-flying passing attack leaning on Mahomes in previous years, but this year it's all on the back of their defence.

Mahomes is still magic, but he's not having to do as much of the heavy lifting, and that makes them even more dangerous.

In a sport with a draft and salary cap and everything else to promote parity and prevent one team from dominating, success like this doesn't come about too often.

  3. How far can Mahomes go?published at 23:27 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

FT: Kansas City Chiefs 17–10 Baltimore Ravens

Patrick Mahomes has moved to third on the list for most play-off wins by a quarterback

Now, the only quarterbacks that have more play-off wins than Patrick Mahomes are Joe Montana (16) and Tom Brady (35).

The scariest aspect? When Brady was Mahomes' age (28), he only had 10 to his name.

  4. 'Job not done'published at 23:25 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

FT: Kansas City Chiefs 17–10 Baltimore Ravens

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes speaking on Sky Sports: "They brought everybody. They were going to challenge us and our guys stepped up and made plays.

"God put a lot of adversity our way this year but we accepted the challenge and we are better for it. It's been a heck of a year but we are not done yet and this is the way to get there.

"We’ve been underdogs the last two games - but we never feel like underdogs. There are a lot of guys in this team that know how to win. When the play-offs come around, we knew we would make it happen.

"The job is not done. We are going to go out there to Vegas and try to win the Super Bowl."

  5. Story of the gamepublished at 23:25 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

A fast start from the Chiefs, strong defence on both sides, and crucial turnovers all contributed to the result.

You just don't win games like this if you turn the ball over, and Baltimore did that twice in the Chiefs end zone which is just criminal when the Super Bowl is at stake.

  6. Kelce really showed uppublished at 23:23 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

Jason Bell, former NFL cornerback, on Sky Sports taking about Travis Kelce’s 11-catch, 116-yard touchdown performanc

"When the lights were the brightest Travis Kelce had to show up and he did. And now they are on the biggest stage, the Super Bowl.”

  7. Kelce fan clubpublished at 23:21 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

Taylor Swift is in the field celebrating with Travis Kelce, as is his brother Jason, who he beat in last year's Super Bowl of course.

The happy couple (Kelce and Swift) sharing a kiss will no doubt be adorning plenty of newspapers and websites in the morning.

  8. The Chiefs are going back to the Super Bowl!published at 23:11 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

For the fourth time in five years the Kansas City Chiefs will play in the Super Bowl, and have the chance to become the first time since the New England Patriots in 2003-04 to win back-to-back Lombardi Trophies.

It was tough, really tough, but a sprinkling of Patrick Mahomes magic along with a staunch defence has seen the Chiefs topple the top seeds and keep their title defence on track.

  9. 'What the legends do'published at 23:11 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

It’s just what the legends do. That pretty much clinches this game.

A perfectly thrown football, MVS’s ankles are getting tied up but he’s still able to hang on.

    It’s a 33-yard pass – and if you’re the Ravens, that’s the kind of game it’s been.

  10. Great play!published at 23:08 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

Kansas City Chiefs 17-10 Baltimore Ravens

Wow! Only Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes would dial this huge play up on third down, as he flings it 32 yards downfield to a stumbling Marquez-Valdes-Scantling, who grabs it and hangs on as he tumbles backwards.

These Chiefs receivers couldn't catch a cold this season - but MVS has come up huge here.

  11. Deliberate flag?published at 23:06 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

Kansas City Chiefs 17-10 Baltimore Ravens

Roquan Smith went so early that Tony Romo reckons it may have been deliberate foul to save Baltimore some time - as the Chiefs only had five yards to gain, so now will instead have to gain 10.

Probably didn't want to give them an extra 15 yards but the way this home defence has been playing...

  12. 'Still an opportunity'published at 23:03 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

Kansas City Chiefs 17–10 Baltimore Ravens

    Greg Brady
NFL pundit on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

The Ravens have got enough time left with two timeouts and the two-minute warning as part of that.

There is an opportunity for Baltimore here but they cannot give up two first downs to the Chiefs.

I think that would end the game.

  13. Kick-offpublished at 23:02 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

Kansas City Chiefs 17-10 Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore resist the temptation to go for the on-side kick, with 2:34 left on the clock and with THIS defence then I don't blame them one bit.

KC haven't got anything much going this second half.

  14. field goal

Field goal - Ravenspublished at 23:01 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

Kansas City Chiefs 17-10 Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens take the field goal with Justin Tucker as automatic as they come, so a 43-yarder is nothing for him, as he shows by slotting it with the minimum of fuss.

  15. Postpublished at 22:59 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

Lamar Jackson has his shortcomings, but he's just electric in the open field, and the Chiefs do superbly there to limit him to just a five-yard gain after he'd raced around the backfield.

  16. Postpublished at 22:58 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

Kansas City Chiefs 17-7 Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore get up to the 30 thanks to Justice Hill so they're already in field goal range with just over three minutes left to play and down two scores.

They'll be looking to find the end zone right here though and then it'll be on-side kick time - and with Justin Tucker they know they can kick a field goal from almost anywhere!

  17. Sack!published at 22:54 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

Kansas City Chiefs 17-7 Baltimore Ravens

First play of the drive and Lamar Jackson is sacked! George Karlaftis is the man who does the damage.

  18. Puntpublished at 22:53 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

Kansas City Chiefs 17-7 Baltimore Ravens

Kansas City have to kick it away pretty quickly and that's a big blow for their defence who just came up with a huge turnover but has to come right back onto the field.

And it's a short field too as the return is run up to midfield. Baltimore get the ball back with five minutes left on the clock.

  19. Sack!published at 22:51 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

Kansas City Chiefs 17-7 Baltimore Ravens

Patrick Mahomes is wrapped up again for a loss - the Chiefs don't give many sacks up, especially in recent play-off games, but their QB has been under pressure all game.

Another big third down coming up as Baltimore could get another chance right away.

  20. 'Asking a lot'published at 22:51 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

Kansas City Chiefs 17–7 Baltimore Ravens

    Greg Brady

The Ravens had to make sure they came away from that drive with points.

I don’t think there is a way back for them now.

It’s asking a lot to make 10 points back in the final six minutes.
