As confirmed by NFL Research, Parker Washington’s 96-yard punt return touchdown was the longest TD in an international game and the first-ever special teams TD in an international game.

Did he really "speak it into existence" though??

Jacksonville Jaguars punt returner Parker Washington - who scored the longest touchdown return in Jaguars' franchise history - said: "It was a special moment.

"We'd been talking in training all week and I was telling all the players I was going to score - I spoke it into existence.

"I just wanted one in my career, so it's special.

"Before the game I watched a bit of DeSean Jackson and it inspired me!"

Jackson scored four punt return touchdowns in the NFL before retiring last November.

The New England Patriots are also at home, welcoming the New York Jets in an AFC East showdown at Gillette Stadium.

Asked what his message would be to aspiring players in the United Kingdom, Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said: "Don't let people say you can't do anything.

"You've got to believe in yourself and give yourself an opportunity to be seen.

"Your work ethic goes a long way -, that's how the guys in the locker room grew up.

"Now with the international pathway there is more opportunity for players to find themselves on NFL rosters.

"But we need to continue to develop the sport globally. It makes us a stronger league overall."

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson: "We needed to win the game - it didn't matter where we were.

"We needed to know what winning felt like again.

"We've worked hard these last 10 days and it's a nice way to finish this trip.

"We've got to duplicate what we did. We've got to be able to carry this back and do it again.

"That's what this league is. It's short-term memory - you want to go 1-0 every week."

Two-time Super Bowl winner on ITV

There's absolutely nothing like having a good running game - that's a quarterback's best friend.

Trevor Lawrence had a fine day himself today.

On the London series this year: The atmosphere has been amazing.

This has been the best group of games we've had over here [in the London series].

Do you agree with Osi on this trio of games? Hit the thumbs.

  10. So are the Jags the real deal?published at 17:35 British Summer Time 20 October

FT: New England Patriots 16-32 Jacksonville Jaguars

This time last week, the Jaguars were slinking out of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with their tails between their legs.

And dominating the New England Patriots is not the badge of honour it once would have been.

Signs though today of the offence clicking and, after the Pats opening drive yielded a touchdown, the defence started working too.

At 2-5, they're a long way off AFC South leaders Houston Texans (5-1) but may eye a run at a wildcard spot to make the play-offs.

  11. 'Deserves it'published at 17:31 British Summer Time 20 October

    Jason Bell
    Former NFL cornerback on ITV

He deserves that. They're going to be watching it that in training next week.

He [Tank Bigbsy] sealed the deal. I love it when you see the running game take over in the fourth quarter when you have the lead.

Can you finish? Can you stop the run and run [yourselves]?

I know we love the passing game but it's really the line of scrimmage that makes you a great team.

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Tank Bigsby on ITV after scoring two touchdowns: "The London trip brought us closer together. Staying in the hotel for nine days, we couldn't go home and we have all communicated with each other.

"We came out and did what we had to do. It was amazing."

The New England Patriots are now on 99 points scored on offence through seven weeks.

It’s an ugly stat line – and is a big reason why they have fallen to 1-6 and the worst record in the NFL.

But, and it's a big but, their franchise quarterback and number-three draft pick, Drake Maye looks the part through two games.

This result is not on him.

  14. Postpublished at 17:24 British Summer Time 20 October

FT: New England Patriots 16-32 Jacksonville Jaguars

It looked very different when the New England Patriots racked up 10 points on their opening two drives.

But the Jaguars came roaring back and, in an outstanding second quarter, notched up 22 unanswered points to seize control.

Dominant physically, and with clever clock control, the Jags fully deserved their second win of the season.

Louis Rees-Zammit appears on the big screens in a pre-recorded video trying to hype the crowd up by waving his arms in the air.

His team-mates on the sideline all turn to him to imitate the action in the video, which gets a big laugh from the Jaguars players and coaches.

Rees-Zammit looks rather embarrassed about the whole thing!

That's two rushing touchdowns for Tank Bigsby who has accrued 118 yards for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

    Utterly dominant.

Especially when you consider the Patriots have managed only 38 yards on the ground.

    Signed. Sealed. Delivered.

And Tank Bigsby has run it in again.

After the turnover, the Jags only had to go 10 yards. With their running game today, it was straightforward.

The Patriots quarterback has to go for it but Drake Maye launches it downfield and only finds empty space.

There's a turnover and here comes the Jaguars with first and goal.

Can they close out this win with another score or will they just let the time run?

New England Patriots 16-25 Jacksonville Jaguars

Ah Demontrey Jacobs has let his quarterback down there as he brings up a holding penalty and suddenly it's third and 12 for Drake Maye.

Crash! The rookie is swallowed up by Trayvon Walker out of the Jags defence and that's a massive sack.

Fourth and 26 with two minutes left on the clock.

Pats head coach Jerod Mayo gives a look of disgust on the sidelines.
