It did nip back, it just clipped the pad it didn't thump it. Did it do enough?

    Did it nip back enough?

I think Overton will get away with this.

Jamie Overton leaves his first ball and is hit on the pad!

India want another look at this.

Loose, loose shot. Wide and short, tried to play it on the up but couldn't catch up with it. Thick outside edge and caught comfortably. That will give India a real boost boing into tea.

They can have a regroup and come back out really fired up. That's a big wicket for India. You feel like that was the last big partnership England were looking for but they've made the breakthrough.

A big blow on the stroke of tea.

India have done it again. Just when you think a partnership is putting England back on top they strike.

It's not a great shot in truth. Jamie Smith was trying to force it off the back foot but edges to second slip.

Harry Brook has timed the pants off this! Just a push through the covers to Ravindra Jadeja's spin but it races across a comparatively slow Oval outfield.

England's deficit is now in single figures.

Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling average of 68.57 in this series is his highest in any of the fourteen Test series of three matches or more he has played in his career.

Jamie Smith is a big unit. He fills up the crease. I never liked bowling to big chaps, when you can't see where the stumps are.

It's a double bowling change. Prasidh Krishna is back.

There's very little turn on offer for Ravindra Jadeja who concedes six from his first over.

This Test is so finely poised.

You just feel this is a big knock for Brook. You've lost a few of your main guns, the likes of Root, it's down to him to get us unto a lead.

  13. Eng 206-5published at 39.2 overs

Clever from Harry Brook who gets down low to nudge a paddley sweep down to fine leg. There is not a fielder down there.

This is the partnership now. They could easily whack 100 in 20 overs. Or get out in farcical circumstances.

Jamie Smith is careful to Siraj who must be almost done for the spell.

It is now time for some spin. Ravindra Jadeja is summoned with 15 minutes to go until tea.

Siraj seems to step up every time Bumrah doesn't play. Been some spell from him since Lunch.

Now that Broad’s retired, is there anyone better at winding opposition players and fans up more than Siraj? The game needs these characters!

Mohammed Siraj is going to bowl another here - his eighth on the spin. Some effort.

India have fought back brilliantly. They looked a bit shell shocked after that opening stand from Crawley and Duckett but they regrouped at lunch and they've bowled their way back into this match.
