Jasprit Bumrah has induced 40% false shots in the 10 overs he's bowled, while the England batters have managed to play only 3% of their shots in complete control. He has been very unlucky so far.

    • Jasprit Bumrah - 40% | 3%
    • Mohammed Siraj - 28% | 17%

Ravindra Jadeja has to be brought on against Ben Stokes especially from the Nursery End, he's got such a good record against him.

In the air! Washington Sundar's dive is not enough.

Ben Stokes slashes through the gully and gets away with it.

    Jasprit Bumrah continues...

  6. Eng 125-4published at 34 overs

India have another review to consider at the end of Mohammed Siraj's over but again they decide against it. Joe Root is repeatedly doing everything he can to get outside of off stump to rule out the lbw if one shoots low.

The previous delivery also swung back to squeeze between bat and pad. It wrong-footed Dhruv Jurel too to boost England's score by four.

It's a battle for Ben Stokes, who has nine from 32 balls and is hit on the body again.

How long until the England skipper has to face a bit of spin? He's struggled massively against the slow bowlers in the recent times.

  9. Eng 119-4published at 32.3 overs

Another appeal for lbw from Jasprit Bumrah's end with Ben Stokes the batter in danger this time.

    Now the crowd falls quiet.

    It's tense.

  10. Eng 119-4published at 32 overs

    Root 30, Stokes 9

Yep, it's a good spot from Simon. Akash Deep has just gingerly walked up the Lord's steps. Abhimanyu Easwaran is on the field at extra cover. He definitely can't bowl, if you're wondering.

The over ends with Lord's groaning in unison as Joe Root almost plays onto his stumps.

Akash Deep is down on his knees at the moment and off the field. Hopefully, India haven't lost another player to injury.

  12. Eng 118-4published at 31 overs

No runs for Joe Root off Bumrah in the over but he does at least survive it.

Bumrah bowled two overs just before lunch. That's one more ticked off.

Jasprit Bumrah bowling to Joe Root, that's the best of Test cricket, isn't it? Bumrah has got Root out a couple of times and Root is one of the best Test batters.

  15. Eng 118-4published at 30.5 overs

Jasprit Bumrah is making things happen again.

Joe Root has looked good since lunch but twice he's hit on the pad here. The umpire says no on both occasions but it feels like England's finest is under pressure.

Baz and Stokes were ruthless with Bairstow and Foakes cos they thought Smith might bring an extra 10% (which he has). Didn't even return to them when Smith couldn't play. Similarly ruthless to move Jimmy on. Odd that the same approach now isn't applied to Crawley and Pope (and arguably Bashir).

Jasprit Bumrah is back from Nursery End - the end where most of the uneven bounce has come.

    This feels a big moment.

    Root 28, Stokes 7

Ben Stokes is flat on his back!

He looks like he's been floored by Mike Tyson after taking one in that area. Joe Root is just grinning at his mate, given no sympathy whatsoever.

Stokes seems to get hit there more often than most.
