Harry Brook's technique is so simple, he has very few movements. It doesn't look like too much could go wrong.

Just a little bit overpitched from Jayden Seales. It is a fast-scoring ground and you can't afford to give those away, it's asking for trouble.

  3. Eng 205-3published at 44 overs

Seales offers up too much width to Harry Brook, who takes up the chance to extravagantly drive him through the covers for England's first four of the day and bringing up England's two hundred.

A two to point then brings up the fifty partnership - Brook with 35 of those runs.

John Petrie: Jamie Smith was tidy with the gloves on debut yesterday and with a decent platform set so far can bat with less pressure later today. Looking forward to watching him.

England's approach yesterday was quite simple, they just put the bad ball away and there was at least one an over which was the West Indies' problem.

  9. Eng 190-3published at 41 overs

A watchful start from Joe Root to start the day, fending away Joseph's first five deliveries before dropping his final ball into the covers to retain the strike.

West Indies have got another 40 overs with this older ball. It didn't do much yesterday so I'm not expecting much movement today.

If I were them, I'd put the fielders on the boundary and go for the short ball. You've got a few quick bowlers, you know England are going to take it on. It's worth a try because pitching it up didn't work.

Joe Root will face the first ball of the morning.

Yesterday, all eyes were on Jimmy.

Playing his final Test, fans arriving at Lord's were hoping to see the veteran England seamer blast through the West Indies batting order.

Instead it was debutant Gus Atkinson who stole the spotlight, taking 7-45, while Anderson took his 701st Test wicket to wrap up the tourists' innings.

Both bowlers have their feet up this morning, and will hope that remains the case for most of the day.

Two Yorkshire men, Joe Root and Harry Brook, are at the crease - both early in the innings, but looking to stretch out England's lead of 68.

It should be a great day's play, let's crack on.
