Lovely shot from Holder, leaning onto what proves to be a Stokes no-ball and sending it flying through the covers.

A couple of twos follow - that's nine off the over.

    Run-fest!

  5. WI 61-5published at 29 overs

New batter Joshua Da Silva closes out the over with a classy drive past mid-off for four.

The ninth boundary of the innings.

Well that’s woken the crowd up a bit. Just before it was perhaps a little bit flat but a beautiful delivery from the angle around the wicket, just bounced and left the left hander.

    Athanaze c Smith b Anderson 22 (WI 55-5)

    Test wicket 703.

  11. WI 53-4published at 27 overs

Anderson sends down a maiden to Athanaze.

    That's the 12th scoreless over of the innings - it's lasted 27 overs, so that's 44% maiden.

Ben Stokes has to abort his opening delivery just before the point of release. He wipes at his eye, indicating a fly may have met its end between his eyelids.

Having run-up again, he delivers a no ball - the only run from the over.

This would be a good time to bowl Bashir with no pressure, but opportunity to gain experience.

  14. WI 52-4published at 25 overs

Another tight Anderson over, surprise surprise.

One single for Holder, down to mid-off.

  15. WI 51-4published at 24 overs

Athanaze picks up four, whipping Stokes past mid-on and to the ropes.

He almost picks up another boundary through the covers, but the ball is chased down by the nearly 42-year-old James Anderson.

The veteran seamer receives cheers from the crowd as he approaches, and the West Indies batters run three.

Weren't we celebrating the rebirth of Windies Test cricket a few months ago when they beat Australia in Australia? The Windies are clearly having a bad game but let's wait for the rest of the series before we perform their funeral rites. I can't help but remember when they toured England in 2017, got absolutely walloped in the first Test (by a substantially bigger margin than they will lose in this Test) only to come back in the second and pull off a fantastic win.

Hints of swing for Anderson - there's one big cloud hanging above the wicket, I don't know if that's helping.

Just the single from the over as Athanaze works one into mid-wicket.

It’s been disappointing, I’m sure a lot of West Indies fans would have been up early watching or listening. There needs to be a little more resilience, put a price on those wickets. With ball in hand, can they be a bit more aggressive earlier? Make players play.

Grabsy: Do you think the West Indies supporters were saying the same thing about English Test cricket through the 80s and 90s?

  20. WI 42-4published at 22 overs

Stokes maiden, his fourth of his six overs today.

And at the other end, here comes a certain veteran seamer...
