  1. 6 runs

    NZ 142-5published at 30.4 overs

Two sixes in the over for New Zealand as Adil Rashid is pumped straight.

  2. NZ 129-5published at 30 overs

Need 47 more runs to win

It's all a bit too easy for New Zealand throughout Brydon Carse's over.

Harry Brook referenced after the first ODI how England are struggling to take wickets through the middle of 50-over matches at the moment. It may not be their most glaring issue, the fact they keep getting bowled out takes that, but it's a problem.

    Average Speeds of Archer today:

    First spell - 140.9 kph

    Second spell - 140.6 kph

  4. NZ 125-5published at 29 overs

    Target 176

Daryl Mitchell settles any nerves in the crowd by sweeping Adil Rashid for four.

With Archer's spell done, someone is going to have to provide the threat from that end now. Harry Brook turns back to Brydon Carse.

  5. NZ 120-5published at 28.3 overs

New Zealand only need 57 more to win but if they could just get Daryl Mitchell out in the next two overs...

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 28 overs

    Bracewell c Buttler b Archer 5 (NZ 118-5)

A wicket to finish for Jofra Archer. It's the very last ball of his spell and he's got Michael Bracewell caught down the leg side. Archer has deserved that. He's finished his spell bowling as quickly as he started it. 3-23 from 10 overs are his final figures.

  7. NZ 118-4published at 27.3 overs

Steve Smith has got his hundred. I can hear you shuddering from here.

  8. NZ 114-4published at 27 overs

Need 62 more runs to win

Michael Bracewell ends a run of 20 consecutive dot balls with a single biffed down the ground off Adil Rashid, who responds by ripping a leggie past Mitchell's bat.

This could have been a good game had England got to 270.

  9. NZ 112-4published at 26 overs

Need 64 more runs to win

An 88mph beauty from Jofra Archer draws a wry smile from Daryl Mitchell.

Mitchell knows what's happening here too. He's been around the block enough times. See off Archer and the threat diminishes.

A fourth maiden from England's premier quick.

  10. Postpublished at 06:19 GMT

Jofra Archer is going to bowl his ninth over here. Harry Brook has realised there's no point saving him for later.

  11. NZ 112-4published at 25 overs

Need 64 more runs to win

Michael Bracewell joins Daryl Mitchell in the middle, reuniting the partnership that effectively one the first ODI for New Zealand.

Credit to England's bowlers. It's another wicket maiden.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 24.1 overs

    Latham lbw b Rashid 2 (NZ 112-4)

Bizarre! Tom Latham has remediated a reverse sweep to a loopy leg-spinner from Adil Rashid but misses it entirely. The ball thuds into his back pad and the umpire's finger is quickly raised.

  13. NZ 112-3published at 24 overs

    Mitchell 33, Latham 2

Jofra Archer holds his arms out in frustration as Tom Latham sneaks a single to get off strike. Archer doesn't think there should have been one there. The fielder he's complaining at? A certain Joe Root. Bold.

Archer's mood deepens a ball later when Daryl Mitchell nicks one for four.

Rapid acceleration from Rachin Ravindra after a cautious start.

He scored just 20 runs in the first 30 balls (strike rate - 67) and 34 runs in the next 24 balls (strike rate - 142).

  15. NZ 107-3published at 23 overs

Need 69 more runs to win

I mentioned Steve Smith earlier. He's now 93 not out for New South Wales in the Sheffield Shield. One for the narrative on a day England's batters have failed.

  16. NZ 105-3published at 22 overs

    Target 176

That's a second wicket maiden of the innings for Archer, who hurries new batter Tom Latham with a short ball to finish. There haven't been many positives for England today but he has bowled nicely.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 21.4 overs

    Ravindra c Rashid b Archer 54 (NZ 105-3)

There's barely any celebration but Jofra Archer has his second. Rachin Ravindra has nailed a pull shot straight into the hands of Adil Rashid at fine leg. Too little too late?

Just waking up in the UK? It has been another poor night of batting from England. They were bowled out for 175 in 36 overs on a pretty flat pitch in Hamilton.

The collapse was not as dramatic as in Mount Maunagnui.

Ben Duckett was out for one but Jamie Smith, Jacob Bethell, Joe Root, Harry Brook all made double figures before getting out.

Root was maybe a little unlucky to be caught down the leg side.

Jamie Smith sliced a catch to point aiming somewhere over mid-wicket. Bethell pulled straight to deep square leg.

Even Brook, who again looked the best of the batters in reaching 34, slashed a cut to backward point having looked good.

The positive was a lively opening spell from Jofra Archer on his first appearance of the winter.

He took 1-8 in his five-over burst and was a touch unlucky not to get more wickets.

  19. NZ 105-2published at 21 overs

Need more 71 runs from 174 balls

There's a chance Rachin Ravindra gets this done before the floodlights are really needed.

  20. 50 runs

50 for Rachin Ravindrapublished at 20.2 overs

Thanks Mike. I may not be here for long because Rachin Ravindra is kicking on.

Back-to-back boundaries take him to fifty from 52 deliveries.
