  1. SA 102-2published at 23 overs

England bring Lauren Bell back into the attack to try and snare a wicket. But Laura Wolvaardt relishes the extra pace, smacking a four through mid-wicket before clipping a leg-side delivery through fine leg.

That brings up three figures and the 50 partnership.

It will take something of a collapse for this game to go in England's favour now.

  3. SA 93-2published at 22 overs

Sophie Ecclestone has her head in her hands as Annerie Dercksen rocks onto her back foot and plays the ball very, very late. But play it she does and South Africa run a single.

It is slim pickings out there for England at the moment.

South Africa are looking very comfortable at the moment but I do like the fact that Heather still has a slip in play, that's a good call.

  5. SA 90-2published at 21 overs

    Target 187

That's a lovely shot from Annerie Dercksen. She seizes on a slightly over-pitched delivery from Lauren Bell and smacks it over mid-wicket for four.

The target dips below double figures.

    Thanks, Ffion.

This is bubbling up nicely. On the face of it South Africa are pretty comfortable. But a wicket never feels that far away.

  7. SA 84-2published at 20 overs

    Target 187

Another misfield gives away a single, this time Lauren Filer the culprit at mid-off, and she wryly apologises to Ecclestone.

But Annerie Dercksen is playing with fire here, constantly going back to Ecclestone and only just getting away with it.

We could be in for a nail-biter here and to take you through until the end, here's Tom Mallows.

England need to spend more time playing 50-over cricket. They should be wanting to play it to help them get better, particularly players like Alice Capsey.

Australia would rarely miss a domestic 50 over game, and England's younger players need to play a lot more.

  9. SA 82-2published at 19 overs

    Target 187

Charlie Dean takes a break after a miserly six-over spell and Heather Knight turns back to Lauren Bell.

She starts nicely with three dots before a needless misfield at cover from Knight gifts Dercksen the single. The ball was trickling easily to Sophia Dunkley at extra cover but for some reason, Knight decided to dive in front of her and palmed it away.

England need to identify players' fielding strengths and use them to help choose positioning. Sophia Dunkley has got to be taking that catch.

It is difficult at the moment with the low sun but there's no real excuse for drops.

  11. SA 79-2published at 18 overs

    Target 187

South Africa conceded 22 runs from wides during their bowling innings and England have conceded 11. It could be that players are trying almost too hard to bowl straight because it's so much easier to play width on this pitch, but could prove costly.

  12. SA 79-2published at 17 overs

    Five wides!

That is a rare blemish for Sophie Ecclestone and Amy Jones. Precious runs for South Africa, though.

  13. SA 74-2published at 17 overs

    Target 187

England are really piling on the pressure now and playing on Laura Wolvaardt's patience.

Charlie Dean plugs away, and it's an intriguing battle with neither willing to back down.

Of the nine players to have scored 2000+ ODI runs in chases, only Meg Lanning (66) and Mithali Raj (63) have a higher batting average than Laura Wolvaardt.

    No!

Missing leg stump - what a good review from South Africa.

    And breathe...

  16. SA reviewpublished at 16 overs

    It's all happening!

Is Annerie Dercksen out lbw now?

  17. dropped catch

Wolvaardt dropped on 27published at 15.4 overs

    SA 71-2

    A lot to unpack here!

A filthy full toss is clubbed out to deep square leg by Wolvaardt, perfectly picking out the only fielder on the boundary as Ecclestone squeezes her.

But Sophia Dunkley puts it down and Wolvaardt - who has already been dropped on five - gets another life.

  18. SA 70-2published at 15.1 overs

And here is the first of those Ecclestone overs, with Wolvaardt driving safely to mid-off from the first ball.

Laura Wolvaardt has a superb record in chases for South Africa, averaging 55 when batting second with three hundreds in ODIs.

In chases where she faces 50 or more balls, South Africa win just over three quarters of their games.

  20. SA 70-2published at 15 overs

    Target 187

Charlie Dean continues to twirl away effectively, with figures of 1-16 from her five overs so far.

England still have 10 Sophie Ecclestone overs in the bank, remember...
