    Impact in line and hitting!

What an excellent review from South Africa.

What a huge wicket that is.

    No glove or bat...

Well, I may have jinxed Heather Knight here.

She has gone for a paddle sweep from Nonkululeko Mlaba, who bowls a touch quicker and it brushes the back pad before escaping away fine.

There was not much of an appeal at first, but South Africa have opted to send it upstairs.

    Did it brush a glove?

There's an opportunity for someone in England's lower order to really make a statement now. Knight is offering some lone resistance at the moment and England can't afford to lose her.

    Thanks, Ffion.

England are in a bit of a pickle here. If ever they needed a captain's knock from Heather Knight.

  6. Eng 106-6published at 25 overs

I'm annoyed at South Africa now. The tactics are just inexplicable, as England complete another comfortable over.

So it's a good time for me to take a breather and leave you with Tom Mallows for the rest of England's innings.

  7. Eng 103-6published at 24.1 overs

Proving that point exactly, Heather Knight skips down the pitch and thumps Chloe Tryon's first ball for four to bring up England's 100.

  8. Eng 99-6published at 24 overs

Great minds and all that, Lydia.

England look pretty comfortable rotating the strike against the spinners at the moment, so they won't mind these tactics from South Africa.

South Africa should consider bringing Marizanne Kapp on for one or two overs. They need to get Heather now and there's no point waiting until the end. Bringing Kapp on could really finish this innings off.

  10. Eng 96-6published at 23 overs

Spin from both ends now as Chloe Tryon comes into the attack.

With England six down and more than half the overs left, it could be a good time for Marizanne Kapp to return. South Africa have a chance to wrap up the game quickly and she's their best option to do that, having only bowled four overs so far.

They can't afford to let the game drift.

  11. Eng 93-6published at 22 overs

Great over from Mlaba, the wicket and just two runs from it.

Charlie Dean is in at eight and could be just the calm character that Heather Knight needs for company.

Nonkululeko Mlaba has been bowling so slowly in this game, despite the fact that it's the type of pitch you might want a bit more pace on, but it's worked! Once you go for that sweep shot, the umpire has very little option but to give you out.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 21.1 overs

    Capsey lbw b Mlaba 8 (Eng 91-6)

Trapped in front and England have no reviews left!

It was pretty straight anyway, as Alice Capsey's patience runs out. A poor shot, going for an audacious slog sweep for her first ball to Mlaba's spin.

It was premeditated, and not suitable for Mlaba's slower pace, so she's through the shot far too early and South Africa get another breakthrough.

  14. Eng 91-5published at 21 overs

Lovely shot from Capsey, crunching a short ball from Annerie Dercksen over point for her first boundary.

Dercksen then whistles one past Heather Knight's nose, just sending the captain a reminder that there is some uneven bounce in this pitch.

  15. Eng 84-5published at 20 overs

    Where did this come from?!

Heather Knight charges down to Ayabonga Khaka and chips one in the air - but the ball lands safely between two fielders on the leg side.

A slice of luck for the skipper.

  16. Eng 80-5published at 19 overs

    Hello!

I've loved watching Annerie Dercksen with the bat during this series but she's showing some character with the ball now. She keeps Alice Capsey on her toes with a very well-directed bouncer which catches Capsey by surprise, eventually swaying out of the way.

Capsey is yet to get off the mark, having faced eight balls.

  17. Eng 79-5published at 18 overs

A tidy over from the returning Ayabonga Khaka, just the single from it as Knight and Capsey look to rebuild.

Amy Jones has left 50 runs on that pitch, that's the best I have seen her look in a while. The partnership with Heather was building so nicely and the only thing I think made her uncomfortable was that the ball was body-line.

  19. Eng 78-5published at 17 overs

An under-pressure Alice Capsey joins the captain in the middle, after a poor World Cup. She has plenty of time to bat here but the 50-over format is still something she's figuring out, having played so little of it domestically.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.3 overs

    Jones c Tryon b Dercksen 21 (Eng 77-5)

    The CricViz curse strikes.

Amy Jones was just starting to get into her stride, but goes for one too many. She connects well to a short ball from Annerie Dercksen but is caught by a diving Chloe Tryon on the square leg boundary.

A very good catch, considering South Africa's struggles in the field during the T20s.
