    Sussex 367-4 v Warwickshire 415

James Coles celebratesImage source, Getty Images

James Coles brings up a first innings century for the second straight match, in less than convincing style as he gets a thick edge off Ethan Bamber which races to the boundary at third for his 14th four.

It's taken him 218 balls to get to his sixth first class ton in 277 minutes - the past 45 of them spent in the 90s.

Will his next target be to get his side past 400, with only five and a bit overs remaining in the hunt for bonus points?

    Ackermann c Jacks b Curran 24 (Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 114-3)

Sam Curran has just been cover driven for four by Colin Ackermann, but the Surrey all-rounder has the final say as he picks up the third Durham wicket two balls later.

Curran is coming in around the wicket, slanting the ball across the right-hander and finding the edge which is clasped safely by Will Jacks at second slip.

Ollie Robinson makes his way to the middle next.

  3. 100 runs

for Ben Kellawaypublished at 12:29 British Summer Time 1 July

    Glamorgan 321-4 v Glos 380

Ben Kellaway drives Archie Bailey for four to reach his second Championship hundred of the season off 180 balls - and also brings up the 200 partnership with Colin Ingram.

The next ball is a full toss on leg stump, which the right-hander clips to the mid-wicket boundary.

Bailey does not learn the lesson, strays onto Kellaway's pads again and concedes the third four of the over.

  4. 200 up for Northantspublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 1 July

    Kent 566-8 dec v Northants 200-2

Matt Quinn charges in and tries out Calvin Harrison with a short ball but the Northants all-rounder has plenty of time to pull it to square leg for four runs as the total reaches 200. Harrison is 69 not out.

  5. Postpublished at 94 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 287-4

Ishan Kishan gives the impression that he doesn't like to be tied down for too long. He's down the track to Archie Vaughan and off drives what has become a full toss for four. He is 29 not out.

  6. Postpublished at 12:25 British Summer Time 1 July

    Sussex 360-4 v Warwickshire 415

Once again Bears are doing a good job of keeping the Sussex batters in check.

James Coles has been in the nervous 90s for around 40 minutes.

Corey Rocchiccioli has been given a breather after his 43-over turn at one end, with Rob Yates replacing him bowling up the hill.

The pacemen have made scoring harder coming down the slope from the other end.

  7. 50 runs

for Alex Leespublished at 12:24 British Summer Time 1 July

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 110-2

Alex Lees, DurhamImage source, Rex Features

Alex Lees glances Tom Lawes off his pads for four and that ushers in his half-century from 126 balls.

A determined knock by the Durham skipper, who passes 50 for the fifth time in the Championship this season.

It goes without saying that his side - still trailing by the small matter of 710 runs - could do with Lees converting that into a hundred. Or a double. Or triple maybe...

  8. Postpublished at 93 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 281-4

Jack Haynes cover drives Craig Overton for four.

The Somerset paceman responds by banging the next one in short and Haynes pulls - he doesn't time it perfectly but gets enough wood on it for it to roll away for another boundary.

Haynes has 69 and Somerset make a change, calling up Archie Vaughan to replace Jack Leach.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:21 British Summer Time 1 July

    Dawson lbw b Finch 27 (Hampshire 112-5 v Worcestershire 679-7d)

    Big wicket for the Pears.

Adam Finch wobbles in a yorker which has Liam Dawson toppling forward and thuds him infront just above the ankle.

The 38-run stand with Tilak Varma is broken.

Tom Prest joins Varma, who is 22*.

  10. Postpublished at 12:19 British Summer Time 1 July

    Yorks 202-4 v Essex 368

An eventful first over from leg-spinner Matt Critchley.

Critchley drops one short and Adam Lyth pulls it for four to move into the 80s, but the left-hander gets it wrong later in the over, offering a sharp chance to Charlie Allison at short leg.

Allison is unable to hang on to a difficult opportunity that flew at him quickly, but it's a second life for Lyth after Dean Elgar shelled an easier catch at slip earlier this morning.

  11. Record stand for Glamorganpublished at 12:19 British Summer Time 1 July

    Glamorgan 309-4 v Glos 380

Ben Kellaway drives Ajeet Singh Dale for four and his stand with Colin Ingram reaches 192.

That is a club record for the fifth wicket against Gloucestershire, beating 188 by Michael Powell and James Franklin at Cheltenham in 2006.

  12. Postpublished at 12:19 British Summer Time 1 July

    Derbyshire 261 v Lancashire 367 & 197-4

Ashton Turner and Michael Jones are playing with a bit of freedom and have ticked the red Rose lead past 300.

Turner has seven fours and a six in his 38* and Jones has 22* at a run-a-ball.

  13. Postpublished at 12:15 British Summer Time 1 July

    Hampshire 111-4 v Worcestershire 679-7d

Tilak Varma may be only 22 but has made centuries in all-formats and has a T20 century for India.

He is however showcasing a different side of his game as he has nurdled his way to 21 from 81 deliveries, playing a fine supporting role to Liam Dawson, who has 26* at a run a ball.

Their side are still 419 runs shy of the follow-on target, however, and their scoring rate is going to leave work to do later if they are to pursue batting bonus points.

  14. 'Bamber has done well this morning'published at 12:13 British Summer Time 1 July

    Sussex 351-4 v Warwickshire 415

    Ethan BamberImage source, Rex Features

Reward for Ethan Bamber. When I spoke to him last evening he was very dissapointed in his own performance. He was challenging himself to do better and get more out of this ball and the conditions.

So far he's done well this morning, he's bowled a tighter line and he's rewarded with the wicket.

  15. 'A well constructed innings form Danial Ibrahim'published at 12:10 British Summer Time 1 July

    Sussex 351-4 v Warwickshire 415

    Andrew Raeburn
    BBC Radio Sussex commentator

It was a well constructed innings from Danial Ibrahim but he falls for 36.

Warwickshire have their first wicket of the morning and it comes at a very timely point with Sussex passing 350.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:07 British Summer Time 1 July

    Ibrahim lbw b Bamber 36 (Sussex 351-4 v Warwickshire 415)

    Bears have their breakthrough.

Ethan Bamber has his first wicket, thundering one in which shapes back towards the right-hander Danial Ibrahim, who plays across the line and is thumped on the pads infront of middle and leg.

He's cashed-in with plenty of those today, hitting six fours, but now he has to go and trudges off looking highly disappointed.

John Simpson joins James Coles, who is 93*.

  17. Postpublished at 88 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 268-4

Jack Leach is absolutely convinced he has Jack Haynes caught behind as he spins one away from the right-hander. Unfortunately for him, the umpire didn't see/hear any nick.

  18. Postpublished at 12:05 British Summer Time 1 July

    Yorks 194-4 v Essex 368

After that flurry of runs, Yorkshire have become bogged down again, with Simon Harmer in full flow at one end and Shane Snater replacing Khaleel Ahmed at the other.

Harmer has ticked through 23 overs already in this innings and we can expect several more because the wicket is slow but the odd ball has turned.

Matthew Revis is on 11, while Adam Lyth has 76.

  19. 300 up for Glamorganpublished at 12:05 British Summer Time 1 July

    Glamorgan 302-4 v Glos 380

Ajeet Singh Dale is too full and Colin Ingram cover drives for four, earning Glamorgan a second batting point and moving his own score into the 90s.

  20. 350 up for Sussexpublished at 12:05 British Summer Time 1 July

    Sussex 350-3 v Warwickshire 415

Just a hint of some grip and turn for Corey Rocchiccioli who has bowled 43 overs, pretty much unchanged, since lunch yesterday.

The spinner finds the edge of Danial Ibrahim bat as he comes forward in defence but the ball squirts past the dive of slip and away for a couple of runs.

The 20-year old then moves to 36* with his sixth boundary, a swish through the covers which also brings up the third batting point for the hosts.

They have 12 overs to pursue one, or even two more, if they want to put the pedal down - Bears need three more wickets in that span for another bowling point.
