    Hurst lbw b Aitchison 13 (Derbyshire 261 v Lancashire 367 & 159-4)

Three for Ben Aitchison this morning.

He draws Matty Hurst forward in defence but gets the ball past his bat to clip the pad on its way towards off stump.

Up goes the finger and Hurst is on his way.

Aitchison has 3-50 and Lancashire are effectively 265-4.

Michael Jones joins Ashton Turner who is 23*.

  5. Postpublished at 11:50 British Summer Time 1 July

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 78-2

Every so often, there's a little bit of spice in the wicket and Dan Worrall gets a ball to climb on Colin Ackermann, flashing just past the outside edge.

It's been a testing start for Ackerman, who's scored five so far while Alex Lees has nudged along to 37.

  6. Postpublished at 84 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 253-4

Despite taking the new ball, Somerset are persisting with Jack Leach's left-arm spin. His latest over is a maiden to Ishan Kishan.

  7. Postpublished at 11:49 British Summer Time 1 July

    Hampshire 99-4 v Worcestershire 679-7d

It's been a positive start from Liam Dawson, who has found the rope four times to move to 19* from 15 deliveries. Tilak Varma is on a patient 17 from 63 balls at the other end.

The hosts still have 430 runs to find to avoid the follow-on, however, and batting points might be a big ask too at this rate.

  8. Postpublished at 11:42 British Summer Time 1 July

    Sussex 328-3 v Warwickshire 415

Danial Ibrahim and James Coles have added 50 runs from 63 balls this morning.

Coles moves to 84* as Oli Hannon-Dalby again drifts onto leg stump, allowing the batter to clip to the short square leg fence.

He's playing far more fluidly than he was yesterday and a third batting point is edging closer.

OHD almost gets his revenge with the final ball of the over, getting one to nip back off the pitch, almost cutting Coles in half, beating the bat but also flying millimetres past the top of off stump.

  9. 100 runs

for Ricardo Vasconcelospublished at 11:41 British Summer Time 1 July

    Kent 566-8 dec v Northants 171-2

Ricardo Vasconcelos pushes Joey Evison for a single to bring up his first century of the season from 146 balls.

It is his final scoring stroke, however, as Wes Agar produces a beauty in the next over and has the left-hander caught behind for 100, ending a stand of 146 with Calvin Harrison.

  10. Division Two updatepublished at 11:41 British Summer Time 1 July

Glamorgan are continuing on their merry way at Sophia Gardens - they are 271-4 against Gloucestershire in the 81st over, with Colin Ingram and Ben Kellaway now into the 70s.

Leicestershire's tail continues to wag at Grace Road, they are 137-8 against Middlesex, who are still to take their first wicket of the morning.

  11. Postpublished at 11:40 British Summer Time 1 July

    Yorks 187-4 v Essex 368

Despite the blow of Jonny Bairstow's departure, runs have continued to flow for Yorkshire.

New batter Matthew Revis has punched Simon Harmer off the back foot for consecutive fours and the batting side also gained an extra five runs thanks to Khaleel Ahmed's impetuousness.

The left-armer collected Adam Lyth's defensive stroke off his bowling and hurled the ball straight back at the Yorkshire opener, hitting him on the leg.

With Lyth hobbling around and wincing, the umpires conferred and awarded the Tykes a five-run bonus.

  12. 'Cracking bit of bowling from Matt Fisher'published at 11:35 British Summer Time 1 July

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 70-2

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

It's a cracking bit of bowling from Matt Fisher.

That's what Surrey are looking for. It's that line, it's that length.

Will Rhodes has a little push at it, outside edge and Josh Blake with the catch.

Fisher has bowled beautifully for Surrey this season.

  13. 50 runs

for Jack Haynespublished at 80.5 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 250-6

    Jack HaynesImage source, Getty Images

Jack Haynes pushes Matt Henry away square for a single and reaches 50 off 92 balls faced. It's the third time he has done so this season and he converted the previous two into 100s.

Matt Henry tries a bouncer to Ishan Kishan and is hooked for six by the Indian, earning Notts their first batting point.

After five deliveries, it looks like we're going to have a new ball to replace the new ball.

  14. new ball

New ball at Tauntonpublished at 80.2 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 238-4

Spinners Jack Leach and Archie Vaughan have done all the bowling so far this morning, but Somerset take the new ball immediately it becomes available.

Here comes Matt Henry. His second delivery is a little too wide and Ishan Kishan punches it square for four.

  15. Postpublished at 11:33 British Summer Time 1 July

    Sussex 318-3 v Warwickshire 415

Sussex are doing what they need to do... they have added 40 runs in the opening half hour of the day with six boundaries.

James Coles was rather bogged down on the second afternoon but has moved onto 75* with his 10th boundary while Danial Ibrahim has four fours in his 21*.

    Rhodes c Blake b Fisher 26 (Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 70-2)

Breakthrough for Surrey as Matt Fisher gets his second wicket!

Fisher tempts Will Rhodes to fish outside off stump and that's an routine catch for Josh Blake behind the stumps.

Colin Ackermann strides out to the middle for Durham.

  17. 'Slater will be delighted with his first century of the season'published at 11:31 British Summer Time 1 July

    Somerset 379 v Notts 235-4

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Third catch of the innings for James Rew, second wicket to Jack Leach and it's come at a time when the bowling coaches will be absolutely thrilled about with that second new ball just two overs away now.

A real opportunity possibly here for Somerset to start eating into the Nottinghamshire middle and lower order.

A lovely round of applause for that innings from Ben Slater. He'll be disappointed in once sense but he'll be absolutely delighted that he's got his first century of the season.

  18. 50 runs

for Calvin Harrisonpublished at 11:28 British Summer Time 1 July

    Kent 566-8 dec v Northants 156-1

Calvin Harrison tucks Nathan Gilchirst through mid-wicket for four to reach his third 50 for Northants since joining them on loan for Notts.

He is making a decent fist of his elevation to number three and his half-century has taken 95 balls.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:27 British Summer Time 1 July

    Bairstow c Pepper b Khaleel 29 (Yorks 169-4 v Essex 368)

Khaleel Ahmed's first County Championship wicket - and it's a big one for Essex!

Jonny Bairstow had a waft at a rising ball outside off stump and missed it - but the Yorkshire captain tried the same again to the next delivery and this time he feathers it through.

Bairstow had looked in good nick this morning, so his departure is a big blow to Yorkshire's hopes of overhauling that Essex total.

Matthew Revis is the next man in.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:26 British Summer Time 1 July

    Brown c Nicholls b Taylor 12 (Hampshire 74-4 v Worcestershire 679-7d)

Tom Taylor does the trick once again. He has 3-20.

Hampshire have added just six runs this morning, clearly seeking to bat time, not accumulate, but Taylor finds the outside edge of Ben Brown's bat and Henry Nicholls takes a neat low catch at second slip to send him on his way for 12.

Liam Dawson, who bowled 44 overs across the past two days, is the new man, joining Tilak Varma, with both aiming to repeat their centuries of the previous game.

    Their side are 605 behind.
