  1. Five-wicket haul for Jack Leachpublished at 17:40 British Summer Time

    Somerset 379 v Notts 508-8

    Jack LeachImage source, Getty Images

Perfect delivery by Jack Leach, which spins sharply away from Brett Hutton, catches the edge and is taken at first slip by Craig Overton via the hip of wicketkeeper James Rew.

Hutton walks without looking at the umpire.

It is the 32nd time that the England left-armer has taken five or more wickets in a first-class innings.

  2. Postpublished at 17:38 British Summer Time

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 309-7

Will Jacks is getting a prolonged spell, doing his best to persuade Graham Clark to drive and the batter finally bites, misjudging the flight as the ball turns and whizzes right through him.

Fortunately for Clark, there's no woody clattering noise behind him and he can resume this gritty knock which has so far brought him 14 in more than an hour and a half.

But it's time spent at the crease, not runs, which can save Durham here.

  3. Postpublished at 17:37 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 528 v Glos 380 & 1-0

Gloucestershire have 11 overs to face before the close at Sophia Gardens. The deficit is 147 as Cameron Bancroft collects their first run off Timm van der Gugten.

  4. Notts reach 500published at 17:34 British Summer Time

    Somerset 379 v Notts 500-7

Lyndon James is down the pitch, driving Jack Leach to mid-on for a single, and the Notts total reaches 500.

There are seven overs to go after this one and the lead is 121.

  5. 'Pears will be ecstatic if they got three wickets'published at 17:33 British Summer Time

    Hampshire 221 & 59-2 f/o v Worcestershire 679-7 dec

    Dave Bradley
BBC Hereford & Worcester cricket commentator

Worcestershire will be pretty chuffed if they got two wickets tonight. They'll be ecstatic if they got three.

  6. 'Early pressure applied from Sussex'published at 17:33 British Summer Time

    Sussex 533 v Warwickshire 415 & 29-1

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

Right on target from Ollie Robinson. Early pressure applied.

The new batter will be Tom Latham who announced himself with his delayed arrival at Warwickshire with 184 against Surrey and three more half-centuries since then - two of them in the game last week against Somerset.

He's a specialist in batting long innings in his extensive international career and that's what Warwickshire are looking for now with Sussex eager to widen the breach.

  7. dropped catch

Madsen dropped on 16published at 17:32 British Summer Time

Derbyshire 92-3 - target 513 to beat Lancs

Wayne Madsen hasn't looked comfortable against George Balderson alt all but he's got another life as an edge flies to Keaton Jennings at second slip but the former Red Rose skipper can't hold on falling to his right.

Can the evergreen Derbyshire skipper make the visitors pay?

  8. 100 runs

for Saif Zaibpublished at 17:30 British Summer Time

    Kent 566-8 dec v Northants 504-6

    Saif ZaibImage source, Getty Images

What a season Saif Zaib is having.

More than 800 Championship runs and there is his fifth hundred - brought up in style off 133 balls, with a six over square leg from a Tawanda Muyeye full toss.

  9. Postpublished at 157.2 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 496-7

Brett Hutton sweeps a ball from Jack Leach. It goes a bit finer than he intended, but there is enough contact for it to run away to the boundary.

He tries the same shot next ball and this time makes a better contact with the same result - four more runs.

  10. Glamorgan all outpublished at 17:25 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 528 v Glos 380

Australian Todd Murphy brings Glamorgan's first innings to an end by having James Harris lbw for eight, attempting a reverse sweep.

The home side's lead is 148, perhaps a few less than might have been anticipated when Ben Kellaway (136) and Colin Ingram (117) were sharing a stand of 254.

Chris Cooke weighed in with 75 and if they can nip one or two Gloucestershire batters out before the close, they will be hopeful of forcing a win on the final day.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:24 British Summer Time

    Walter lbw b Coad 0 (Yorks 459 v Essex 368 & 2-1)

Early breakthrough for Yorkshire - and it's been a pretty good afternoon for Ben Coad!

Coad is around the wicket to Paul Walter, nipping the ball back to strike him on the pads bang in front. No doubt about that one.

Here comes Tom Westley, who's scored hundreds in his last two innings - and Essex may need something sizeable from their captain again.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:22 British Summer Time

    Yates b Robinson 11 (Sussex 533 v Warwickshire 415 & 22-1)

What a ball from Ollie Robinson. Middle stump sent cartwheeling.

Left-hander Rob Yates gets his timing all wrong as he pushes towards the offside and has his timbers rearranged.

    Bears still trail by 96.

tom Latham is the new man, joining Alex Davies with 17 overs remaining in the day.

  13. Second batting bonus point for Durhampublished at 17:20 British Summer Time

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 300-7

It's heavy going for Durham since tea, but at least they've pocketed themselves another bonus point - even if the eight for a draw remain some way out of reach at the moment.

Matthew Potts turns Sam Curran for a single on the leg side and advances to six, with Graham Clark on 13.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:19 British Summer Time

    Middleton c Brookes b Finch (Hampshire 221 & 59-2 f/o v Worcestershire 679-7 dec)

It's turning into a dark day for Hampshire in the Southampton sunshine.

Adam Finch bangs another in, just short of a length, Fletcha Middleton doesn't know quite what to do with it, shapes to turn it into the leg side but can only loop the ball off the shoulder of the bat back towards Ethan Brookes at cover.

Unfortunate, but that's the way things are going for the hosts.

They need 399 to make Worcestershire bat again.

Tilak Varma is back in the middle, having been run-out at 14:35 BST in the first innings.

    Life comes at you fast.

  15. Postpublished at 17:18 British Summer Time

    Yorks 459 v Essex 368 & 1-0

After his heroics with the bat, it's back to the day job for Ben Coad as he opens the bowling for Essex's second innings.

A wicket or two tonight would make it a perfect day for Yorkshire, who sense they have a chance of pulling off a victory that could prove crucial in the relegation battle.

Just a single conceded from Coad's first over, lowering the deficit to exactly 90.

  16. 'An unusual dismissal'published at 17:14 British Summer Time

    Hampshire 221 & 54-1 f/o v Worcestershire 679-7 dec

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

I think Ali Orr's backfoot must have slipped.

It looked odd because Fletcha Middleton was running, it was an obvious single.

    An unusual dismissal.

    Patterson-White st Rew b Vaughan 1 (Somerset 379 v Notts 483-7)

    Archie VaughanImage source, Getty Images

A bit of turn for Archie Vaughan and James Rew has the bails off before Liam Patterson-White can slide his foot back behind the line.

Two quick wickets for Somerset - that will make them feel a whole lot better after a tough day in the field.

Brett Hutton comes out to join Lyndon James.

  18. 'I haven't seen one of those for a while'published at 17:13 British Summer Time

    Hampshire 221 & 54-1 f/o v Worcestershire 679-7 dec

    Dave Bradley
BBC Hereford & Worcester cricket commentator

    It's a fairly bizarre dismissal.

That's unfortunate but off he goes, somewhat dissapointed.

I haven't seen one of those for a while.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:11 British Summer Time

    Came c Hurst b Bailey 32 (Derbyshire 71-3 - target 513 to beat Lancs)

    One brings two.

Tom Bailey strides in and shapes one away slightly from the right-hander who jams the bat down but can only succeed in nicking through to Matty Hurst behind the timbers.

Just what Lancashire needed - both set batters have gone.

Wayne Madsen is joined by Brooke Guest with an increasingly nominal 442 needed for victory.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:10 British Summer Time

    Orr Hit wicket 35 (Hampshire 221 & 54-1 f/o v Worcestershire 679-7 dec)

    You read that right.

    Oh Hampshire.

Adam Finch sends one in short of a length and Ali Orr turns away into the leg side, but he steps back onto his stumps in the process and the Pears have been gifted the breakthrough.

He'd played nicely for his 35, with seven fours, but now he has to go.

Nick Gubbins joins Fletcha Middleton trying to negotiate the 18 overs and change left in the day without further drama.
