  1. 150 runs

150 for James Colespublished at 14:55 British Summer Time 1 July

    Sussex 458-5 v Warwickshire 415

James Coles Zen Malik into the leg side for an easy single which brings up his 150.

It's taken him 291 balls and featured 19 fours and a six and given his side a lead against Bears.

You'd expect he and Fynn Hudson-Prentice will seek to swell it to 125-odd before having another crack at the visitors with the ball.

  2. 50 runs

for Ollie Robinsonpublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 1 July

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 208-3

Ollie Robinson brings up his 50 in style, latching onto a short ball from Jordan Clark and pummelling it over midwicket for a maximum.

Robinson's half-century arrives from 76 deliveries and it's his third in red-ball cricket this season, along with one century.

Speaking of which, Alex Lees is now into the 90s, but isn't looking at all nervous.

Probably best just not to look at the scoreboard - apart from anything else, the sight of that Surrey total isn't likely to raise anyone's spirits in the Durham camp.

  3. Derbyshire begin chase of 513 at Chesterfieldpublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 1 July

Derbyshire 0-0 - target 513 to beat Lancs

Give you one guess who's taking the new ball for Lancashire.

    Yep.

Mitch Wagstaff and Caleb Jewell begin the chase. They needn't rush. We have 47 overs today - weather permitting - and a full 96 tomorrow.

  4. Postpublished at 123 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 384-5

After 122 overs, Somerset to give Tom Lammonby his first bowl of the innings. He tries a bouncer from round the wicket which clears everything and runs away for a couple of byes.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 1 July

    Prest c Roderick b Brookes 48 (Hampshire 195-8 v Worcestershire 679-7 dec)

Tom Prest is the latest to fall into a Pears trap.

    Hampshire are in disarray.

Ethan Brookes steams in and bangs one in short, tempting Prest into a swivelling pull, only to nick through to Gareth Roderick who takes a fine catch diving to his left.

This collapse all began with Tilak Varma chancing that single that wasn't on.

    That's 3-3 in 17 balls.

Kyle Abbott joins Dom Kelly needing 334 to avoid the follow-on.

  6. Postpublished at 122 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 382-5

They've just had a drinks break at Taunton and it has certainly put some extra zip into Jack Leach.

He beats Lyndon James twice in a row with superb deliveries which turn and bounce. Leach can't believe the batter didn't nick either of them.

  7. wicket

WICKET AND DECLARATIONpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 1 July

    Balderson c Tickner b Andersson (Derbyshire 261 v Lancashire 367 & 406-6d)

    Derbyshire require 513 to win.

George Balderson departs for 82 from 60 balls, driving Martin Andersson to Blair Tickner who takes a tumbling catch in the covers.

Ashton Turner finishes 121* as James Anderson calls his side in.

They have declared their total on 406-6, a lead of 512.

We have seen some monster innings already this week but if Derbyshire rattle those off in the fourth innings it would surely top the lot.

  8. 'A bonus wicket for Worcestershire'published at 14:41 British Summer Time 1 July

    Hampshire 193-6 v Worcestershire 679-7 dec

    Dave Bradley
BBC Hereford & Worcester cricket commentator

It was a great piece of fielding and a wicket out of the blue and a wicket that Worcestershire will be very pleased to take that of Tilak Varma.

That really is a bonus wicket for Worcestershire.

Umpire Jack Shantry was in exactly the right position, side on.

  9. Latest from Canterburypublished at 14:40 British Summer Time 1 July

    Kent 566-8 dec v Northants 304-4

Northants have lost their second wicket of the afternoon at the Spitfire Ground, with James Sales run out 41 after being called for a quick single by Tim Robinson.

Nathan Gilchrist's throw from mid-off wasn't the best, but keeper Harry Finch was able to backhand the stumps with Sales short of the crease.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 1 July

    Fuller c b Parkinson 0 (Hampshire 193-7 v Worcestershire 679-7 dec

Two in four balls and a golden duck for James Fuller who chips Callum Parkinson straight to the tumbling Adam Hose at short mid-off.

Pears are in dreamland. They need three more wickets to enforce the follow-on. Hampshire need 336 runs to avoid it.

Dom Kelly, on Championship debut, joins Tom Prest.

  11. Scores level at Tauntonpublished at 119.1 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 379-5

We can't call that a dropped catch because Somerset keeper James Rew didn't lay a glove on it.

A ball from Jack Leach keeps low but finds the edge of Jack Haynes' bat and flies through Rew's legs behind the stumps and away for four.

    The scores are level.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 1 July

Varma run out (Libby) 56 (Hampshire 192-6 v Worcestershire 679-7 dec)

Kamikaze single from Tilak Varma and he's run out by a direct hit from mid-on.

Varma pushes forward off Callum Parkinson and sets off immediately but Jake Libby picks up and throws in one movement at the non striker's end and Varma's dive is in vain. ANother big contribution from Libby.

James Fuller is the new man, joining Tom Prest who is 46 not out.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 1 July

    Budinger c De Caires b Helm 5 (Leics 205 & 7-1 v Middx 534)

Middlesex have stuck their hosts in again - and Tom Helm, who finished with 3-30 in Leicestershire's first innings, has made the breakthrough second time around.

Sol Budinger is the man to go, the left-hander edging Helm to second slip.

  14. Postpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 1 July

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 186-3

Durham are doing exactly what the situation demands - building a partnership, with Alex Lees and Ollie Robinson adding 72 so far.

Lees has just dispatched Matt Fisher for successive boundaries and he now has 80 against his name, with Robinson going well on 43 at the other end.

  15. Postpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 1 July

    Derbyshire 261 v Lancashire 367 & 391-5

Queen's Park is a lovely place to watch cricket, but I'm not sure it's particularly safe today.

There have been 47 fours and six sixes in this Lancashire second innings.

George Balderson has 79* from 54 balls and wants to become the fourth Lancashire centurion... and pretty soon.

    The lead is 497.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 117.5 overs

    Kishan c Abell b Leach 77 (Somerset 379 v Notts 373-5)

    Somerset needed that.

Turn for Jack Leach and Ishan Kishan insides edges onto his pad and the ball pops up to Tom Abell, under the helmet at short leg.

Kishan put on 138 with Jack Haynes, who has now been joined by Lyndon James.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 1 July

    Bess c Pepper b Snater 4 (Yorks 273-8 v Essex 368)

That's five catches in the innings for Michael Pepper - and not for the first time, he produces an excellent take down the leg side.

Dom Bess dabs at a ball from Shane Snater and the umpire decides bat, rather than pad, made contact with the ball as Pepper tumbles to make the catch.

Ben Coad is in at 10 for Yorkshire and he and last man Jack White need to hang around as long as they can to help Matthew Revis extend this first-innings total.

  18. 100 runs

for Ashton Turnerpublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 1 July

    Derbyshire 261 v Lancashire 367 & 380-5

Great stuf from Ashton Turner, who becomes the Red Rose's third centurion of the match.

He brings it up from 124 balls with a lofted four to long-off off Mitch Wagstaff, his 10th four to go with a six.

Back-to-back matches with a century for Turner after his ton on debut against Kent at Blackpool last week.

Easy this Championship cricket malarkey, eh?

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 1 July

    Kellaway c Hammond b Singh Dale 139 (Glamorgan 383-6 v Glos 380)

Glamorgan's hopes of a sizeable first-innings lead are fading as their second centurion departs at Sophia Gardens.

Ben Kellaway pulls a short one from Ajeet Singh Dale and is brilliantly caught at square leg by Miles Hammond, just six overs after Colin Ingram fell to Zaman Akhter for 117.

Chris Cooke and Timm van der Gugten now together.

  20. 50 runs

for Tilak Varmapublished at 14:25 British Summer Time 1 July

    Hampshire 140-5 v Worcestershire 679-7 dec

You're going to hear a lot about this chap for the next decade.

After a century on debut, Varma has amassed a very different half-century, coming from 160 deliveries with his back against the wall.

He brings it up with a slight mis-stroke, trying to loft Ethan Brookes back over his head and only narrowly evading the fielder at long-off.
