Somerset v Essex 156
The tea interval has been called after the dismissal of Shane Snater.
Play will resume in just under 10 minutes.
Lancs v Kent 164-6
Tom Bailey is back into the attack with two slips and a gully.
Grant Stewart throws his hands through the line of the second ball and edges it past second slip for four.
Tense times for Kent, who really cannot afford to lose another one in this session.
Snater c Banton b Pretorius 13
Unlucky for some as Shane Snater goes down going for glory.
He aims a cross-batted swipe off Migael Pretorius and lofts the ball to long off.
The ball seems to hang in the air as Tom Banton runs to get underneath it and take the catch.
Essex have barely been challenged leading up to this match, but they've been comprehensively routed here.
That's 4-36 for Pretorius.
An awkward mini session of play awaits for Somerset.
Tea: Derbyshire 189-8 v Sussex
Adrian Harms
BBC Sussex
The forecast rain has arrived in Derby after an eventful post-lunch session.
Derbyshire added 94 runs in 17 overs, losing four wickets in the process.
Aneurin Donald led the way, his 44 coming in just 46 balls with nine fours, and Blair Tickner has swung away in unorthodox but effective fashion. His 22 has come in just 21 balls.
The wickets have been spread around the Sussex seamers who have generally bowled a tidy line and length.
Tea is being taken and if the forecast is correct, we may not see too much more play today.
Lancs v Kent 152-6
Joey Evison is back and across to Tom Hartley, driving the spinner through cover for one to take Kent to 150 in the 55th over.
Grant Stewart then cuts Nathan Lyon through the off side for two more at the other end.
A hint of a fightback from Kent, who nonetheless are still precariously placed.
Somerset v Essex 154-9
Shane Snater takes Essex to 150 with a powerful drive down the ground for four off Migael Pretorius.
Jamie Porter then gets four of his own, squeezing a full, wide ball through backward point.

The catching behind the wicket from Somerset has been of a very high standard.
That was excellent from James Rew.
Somerset v Essex 146-9
It's a five-ball duck for Sam Cook.
Jake Ball gets him to nick behind to wicketkeeper James Rew.
Jamie Porter comes in at 11, somewhat earlier than he might have hoped.
With the rain still falling at Headingley, the players are taking tea.
They're also having their afternoon cuppa early at Derby after recently coming off for rain.
Somerset v Essex 145-8
Big wicket.
A hint of swing from Migael Pretorius.
Good carry there as Harry Duke drives and edges a sharp chance chest high to wicketkeeper James Rew.
Simon Cook to bat next.
Somerset v Essex 145-7
Somerset will be twitching after that dropped catch.
Shane Snater is in the groove now, down the track to Migael Pretorius and driving straight past the bowler's outstretched hand for four.
Derbyshire 189-8 v Sussex
The much anticipated rain has arrived at Derby.
The hosts have battled to 189-8 after 44.5 overs, putting on a rapid 96 runs since lunch for the loss of four wickets.
Blair Tickner is 22 not out with and Jack Morley has five.
We may not get back out here if the forecast is true, but the weather looks well set for play over the weekend.
Some supporters aren't hopeful today as they make for the exits.
Lancs v Kent 133-6
Joey Evison is down the track to Tom Hartley but can't quite push the ball through the infield.
Maiden over. Just a hint of turn there.
Middlesex v Leicestershire
It's still raining in London. Tea will be taken at 3.10pm.
Will we see any play today?
Somerset v Essex 141-7
Shane Snater is down the track to Jake Ball, driving to a diving Matt Renshaw at extra cover, but a tough chance is spilled.
Frustration for Somerset.
Derbyshire 187-8 v Sussex
Blair Tickner is enjoying himself out there.
He steps to the leg side and takes a massive swing off Danny Lamb.
It catches the top edge and sails over the head of Sussex wicketkeeper John Simpson.
It's more village green than first-class, but these could be valuable runs for Derbyshire. He's raced to 22 off 20 balls.
Somerset v Essex 145-7
Nick Gledhill
BBC Essex
It wasn't a very good shot from Simon Harmer who will be disappointed with himself and he actually kicked the ground in frustartion.
He was going for an expansive drive through the covers without much foot movement and he rather threw the bat at it.
It was a good catch moving across just in front of first slip by James Rew.
And that's another useful breakthrough for Somerset.
Lancs v Kent 129-6
The first wicket to fall to spin in the innings.
Joe Denly tries to break the shackles, charging down the track with a lofted drive down the ground off Nathan Lyon - but that's an easy catch for Keaton Jennings at long on.
Grant Stewart is in next.
Somerset v Essex 141-7
Four runs to Harry Duke, cutting Migael Pretorius through backward point.
Too short and wide.
Essex will still hope for 200 plus with Duke playing in this vein.
Lancs v Kent 129-5
Left arm spinner Tom Hartley is in the attack for the first time (in the 47th over) and bowls round the wicket to Joey Evison.
An encouraging start for Hartley who has Evison playing around his front pad and starts with a maiden.
