    Another change.

Shoaib Bashir is coming on in place of Jack Leach after just one over.

He might change ends of course.

Bashir flights it outside off and Toby Albert drives to extra cover for no run.

Albert goes back and tries to work one away to leg but doesn't clear mid wicket.

Maiden over. Jack Leach has changed ends.

    Somerset 136 v Hants 28-2

Hampshire have laboured to 20 runs for the loss of two wickets in 11 overs.

Perhaps 136 isn't so bad after all, as Kevan James just suggested!

    Now then!

James Vince goes for a slog sweep first ball off Archie Vaughan and top edges it just over Jack Leach at deep mid wicket for six!

Two more into the on side.

Vince is down the track to drive but he hasn't timed it. No run there.

    Eight runs off the over.

Two prods forward from James Vince and two spun past the outside edge from Jack Leach.

    136 looking a good score!

    Somerset 136 v Hants 20-2

One slip in for James Vince, who turns the ball to square leg, picked up by Alfie Ogborne for no run.

Vince is forward and survives an appeal for caught behind.

    That ball turned outside off.

    Beaten again outside off.

Vince keeps the strike with a single turned into the on side.

Spin at both ends perhaps? Yes. Archie Vaughan is coming on.

Bowling change. Kasey Aldridge replaces Lewis Gregory in the attack.

Or is he? No. The umpires are having a chat...

Spinner Jack Leach is coming on instead.

Could be a short passage of play with only spin bowling.

    Somerset 136 v Hants 19-2

A big LBW shout as Toby Albert is hurried by a yorker but he got a big inside edge on that.

Albert defends down the ground next and is able to leave the fourth ball, which seams back and misses off stump by an inch or two.

The fifth ball is edged into the ground in front of fourth slip.

He defends the last ball of a testing over into backward point.

    Somerset 136 v Hants 19-2

    20 overs left tonight.

Four runs to James Vince, punching Lewis Gregory away on the back foot through cover. Superb shot to get off the mark.

Vince follows a leg side ball without making contact and the ball goes through to keeper James Rew.

    Alfie Ogborne to continue.

    Somerset 136 v Hants 15-2

James Vince sees out the over and now the spotlight goes back to Toby Albert, facing Alfie Ogborne.

There appears to be concern about the bowler's follow through as the umpire inspects a patch of rough on the square.

Toby Albert leaves a leg cutter outside off stump.

Next up he's forward and across to block into the on side.

The last ball of the over is driven with a thick edge wide of the slips for a couple of runs.

  9. Stumps at Trent Bridgepublished at 17:16 British Summer Time 26 September

    Notts 33-2 v Warwickshire

That is indeed that for the day at Trent Bridge.

An enormous sheet is dragged on to the pitch to cover the square to the left of the wicket.

The middle of the pitch now resembles a huge white plus sign.

Warwickshire's bowlers have had just 15.2 overs to play with today, but they have removed both openers.

That’s a big wicket for Somerset.

Nick Gubbins was looking very comfortable.

But he looks at the pitch disbelieving at what that ball did.

Single to Toby Albert, pushing Lewis Gregory between mid off and backward point.

Nick Gubbins defends confidently into the off side.

Out! Lewis Gregory strikes with the fifth ball of the over.

That ball did just enough off the seam as Gubbins was forward to block the ball.

He had to play it. Off stump line on a length with movement.

A low edge carries to Tom Abell at first slip.

Hampshire captain James Vince to face his Somerset counterpart next.

  12. ‘Threat will be spin’published at 17:10 British Summer Time 26 September

    Somerset 136 v Hants 12-1

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

The real threat to Hampshire will probably be from Somerset’s triple spin attack.

I expect to see an exploratory over from Jack Leach soon.

He’s going off now, so probably going to change into his bowling boots.

  13. Postpublished at 17:08 British Summer Time 26 September

    Somerset 136 v Hants 12-1

Toby Albert opens the face of the bat and runs a ball from Alfie Ogborne safely to deep third for two.

Albert has one hand off the bat as he turns the next ball away for a leg bye.

Nick Gubbins defends on the front foot, into the off side.

He glances a leg side ball fine for four runs.

Jack Leach is leaving the field - possibly to put his bowling boots on?

  14. Postpublished at 17:03 British Summer Time 26 September

    Somerset 136 v Hants 5-1

Nick Gubbins is off the mark on his fifth ball, turned to long leg for a single.

Single to Toby Albert to deep square leg.

The fifth ball is pushed safely short and wide of fourth slip and Gubbins defends down the ground to see out the fifth over.

  15. Postpublished at 16:59 British Summer Time 26 September

    Somerset 136 v Hants 3-1

Alfie Ogborne is really getting this ball to move across Toby Albert, who is just able to leave it on length.

The fifth ball is driven into the off side but picked up by Shoaib Bashir at mid off for no run.

Albert blocks the last ball of the over down the ground. Maiden over.

  16. Stumps at New Roadpublished at 16:56 British Summer Time 26 September

Worcs 119-7 v Lancs - close, day one

That heavy rain shower during the tea interval has left the outfield soaked and with no prospect of things getting better it's off for the day.

Lancashire, who must win to stand any real chance of survival, reduced Worcestershire to 56-7 before Matthew Waite and Logan van Beek counter-attacked with a rapid unbroken stand of 63.

  17. dropped catch

Toby Albert dropped on 0published at 16:56 British Summer Time 26 September

    Somerset 136 v Hants 3-1

Surely 136 isn't a par score. Even on this wicket.

But a great start for Somerset nonetheless.

Toby Albert is beaten outside off stump by Lewis Gregory and edges the third ball to second slip...

Dropped by Kasey Aldridge at waist height, just to his left.

Albert gets himself and Hampshire off the mark with a clip to fine leg for three.

  18. Postpublished at 16:51 British Summer Time 26 September

    Somerset 136 v Hants 0-1

    Four slips in play.

    Nick Gubbins leaves outside off.

He tries to glance a straightening ball to leg but barely gets it past the popping crease.

A solid block to end the wicket maiden over.

    Somerset 136 v Hants 0-1

Gone second ball! Fletcha Middleton is squared up, edging to Lewis Gregory at second slip.

Somerset and Alfie Ogborne strike early.

Nick Gubbins is in a little earlier than he might have hoped.

  20. Postpublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 26 September

    Somerset 136 v Hants 0-0

Certainly some movement off the seam for Lewis Gregory, who is a bit legside at one point but a brilliant take from keeper James Rew prevents any byes.

Toby Albert is able to leave the fifth ball outside off.

A play and miss to see out the over.

Alfie Ogborne will bowl to Fletcha Middleton.
