Good news... they're set to come back on in around 10 minutes in Nottingham.

29.1 overs are scheduled to remain on day one.

  2. Postpublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 26 September

    Somerset 130-8 v Hants

A slip and a silly mid off comes in for Alfie Ogborne - who defends.

Liam Dawson tries a quicker ball and Ogborne pushes into the off side.

    Two slips now.

Ogborne pushes the last ball safely to extra cover. Maiden over.

  3. Postpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 26 September

    Somerset 130-8 v Hants

Tom Kohler-Cadmore drives Mohammed Abbas to deep cover but again decides not to take the run.

The fourth ball is stroked off an open face to deep third but again no run is taken.

Another run deep in the off side is declined and now the field comes in.

Kohler-Cadmore misses an attempted drive over mid on and the ball goes through to keeper Ben Brown.

Alfie Ogborne will face Liam Dawson next.

  4. 'Waite changing the balance'published at 16:03 British Summer Time 26 September

Worcs 119-7 v Lancs - tea, day one

    Frank Watson

    Amazing hitting from Matthew Waite.

He's making a mockery of the situation. He came in at 39-6.

Just changing the balance a little in the New Road gloom.

  5. Tea at New Roadpublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 26 September

    Worcs 119-7 v Lancs

Lancashire skipper Keaton Jennings reacts to the onslaught by introducing the slow bowling of Luke Wells.

He produced some all-round heroics in that big win over Somerset last week, with a second-innings century and a four-wicket haul.

Wells fires one down the legside and Matthew Waite turns it down to the fine leg boundary. He then scampers a single to move to 47 off just 33 balls.

And that's tea! What a crazy session.

Liam Dawson will bowl the next over, in search of his fifth wicket of the innings.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore plays defensively on the front foot until the fifth ball which he drives through backward point for one.

We have two slips and a silly mid off in for Alfie Ogborne, who defends on the front foot.

    Somerset 129-8 v Hants

A play and a miss first up from Tom Kohler-Cadmore outside off stump.

TKC is moving across the stumps now to block into the on side.

He nudges the fourth ball into mid wicket but doesn't take the run.

The last ball is pushed into point for a very tight single.

Good running by Alfie Ogborne in particular!

  8. 50 runs

    Worcs 113-7 v Lancs

George Balderson continues and so does Matthew Waite.

The former Yorkshire all-rounder slaps it over the head of Anderson Phillip on the long-on boundary.

That brings up the fifty partnership with Logan van Beek off just 33 balls.

Waite then goes legside and smacks Balderson over midwicket for his fourth maximum.

He's up to 42 in no time. Bonkers session.

  9. 100 runs

100 up for Worcestershirepublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 26 September

    Worcs 101-7 v Lancs

Matthew Waite goes down the ground once more but plugs, and instead of running for a one-bounce four, he has to settle for a single.

Logan van Beek is then beaten outside the off stump by Will Williams, but next ball he sits deep in his crease and hammers another six down the ground!

Williams responds by digging one in short, but more frustration as it's called as a no-ball, taking the hosts to three figures.

This is a terrific counter-punch from the lower order pair - they have added 44 from 28 balls.

  10. Play resumes at Tauntonpublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 26 September

    Somerset 128-8 v Hants

Tom Kohler-Cadmore will face Mohammed Abbas to get this session of play started.

    He's 55 not out.

Alfie Ogborne is at the non-striker's end on one.

39 overs remain tonight in theory - but that is dependent on dry conditions without fading light.

  11. 6 runs

Six more of the bestpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 26 September

    Worcs 92-7 v Lancs

More like it from Will Williams who went for 15 runs in a chastening first over.

His chief tormentor Matthew Waite takes a single from the first ball, but Logan van Beek is in defensive mode as five dots follow.

George Balderson comes on at the Diglis End, replacing Anderson Phillip who has been a trifle expensive.

Talking of which, van Beek smashes Balderson's second ball straight down the ground for six. What timing!

A couple more takes him to 16 off 10 balls.

  12. Postpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 26 September

    Worcs 80-7 v Lancs

Logan van Beek gets off the mark second ball as he drives a full ball from Anderson Phillip straight through mid off for four.

The next ball is short, wide and cut for four.

    Nice start from the Dutchman.

  13. Trent Bridge inspection at 15:45 BSTpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 26 September

    Notts 27-1 v Warwickshire

They will look again in five minutes at Trent Bridge.

The covers have been cleared and Nottinghamshire have just posted on social media "we could be seeing some more play quite soon".

    Encouraging signs.

  14. Tea at Tauntonpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 26 September

    Somerset 128-8 v Hants

What does Tom Kohler-Cadmore do now?

No fireworks just yet as he carefully pushes Liam Dawson into the off side.

He'll get a single pushed past Fletcha Middleton at silly mid off.

A single to extra cover off the last ball and that's tea.

Somerset had hope of a batting point when they resumed after an early lunch interval.

But the hosts were pegged back by a disciplined Hampshire attack, removing Archie Vaughan and James Rew in quick succession.

However, on a pitch that has offered seam movement, occasional turn and a bit of low bounce, even anything around 200 might be a par score.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore is a key wicket for both teams and he's currently 55 not out.

  15. 'Makes something happen'published at 15:36 British Summer Time 26 September

    Worcs 71-7 v Lancs

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

Anderson Phillip has this growing habit of taking wickets for Lancashire.

He may be a bit more expensive than he would like.

But in these first three games, he appears to be someone that can make something happen.

  16. 6 runs

Postpublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 26 September

    Worcs 71-7 v Lancs

Will Williams gets his first bowl of the match and is promptly whacked for six.

A short arm pull from Matthew Waite clears the rope.

Waite is the only batter to have found any sort of timing.

    Six more!

Waite gives it the full beans, hammering Williams' fourth ball straight back over the bowler's head and onto the roof of the stand.

He moves to 26 off 14 balls. The over costs 15.

A nice bit of timing earns Adam Hose four down to the long on boundary.

Anderson Phillip then does well to field off his own bowling to prevent back-to-back fours.

Then the bowler has his revenge!

Phillip picks up his third wicket as he takes the outside edge of Hose's bat and Keaton Jennings collects his second catch at second slip.

Logan van Beek joins Ethan Brookes.

  18. Postpublished at 15:30 British Summer Time 26 September

    Somerset 125-8 v Hants

Alfie Ogborne pushes his first ball out into the on side.

He has two slips and a silly mid off for company as he survives the over and keeps the strike with a single to square leg.

Close call for LBW as Ogborne is squared up and hit on the pad by Felix Organ but it's not out.

    Maiden over.

  19. wicket

WICKET Leach c Vince b Dawson 9published at 15:26 British Summer Time 26 September

    Somerset 124-8 v Hants

Felix Organ is back into the attack and Jack Leach tries to work the ball through mid wicket without clearing the field.

Leach drives to extra cover, where there is a slight misfield but no run.

    Maiden over.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore drives Liam Dawson to extra cover for one.

Out! Jack Leach tries to loft-drive Dawson down the ground and he's edged it to Hampshire captain James Vince at first slip.

Dawson has 4-22 and now he'll bowl to Alfie Ogborne.

50 up for Worcestershirepublished at 15:26 British Summer Time 26 September

    Worcs 51-6 v Lancs

It's been an horrific afternoon session for Worcestershire, but the home supporters at last have something to applaud.

Adam Hose flicks George Balderson around the corner to bring up the Pears fifty in the 18th over.

Ethan Brookes picks up a single. Another economical over.
