    Lancs 120-6 (Target 154)

Jack Blatherwick joins Liam Livingstone at the wicket.

That's because Tom Hartley has hit one straight down the throat of Jack Leaning after failing to get anything on his first two balls.

It's gone very quiet at Old Trafford.

Two wickets and two runs from that Matt Parkinson over.

  2. 'Muted celebrations'published at 17:07 British Summer Time 6 September

    Lancs 118-5 (Target 154)

    Scott Read

Slightly muted celebrations because Kent need plenty more to do their way.

The celebration tells its own story that Lancashire are way, way on top here.

  3. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 13.1 overs

    Jones c Klaassen b Parkinson 28 (Lancs118-5 - Target 154)

    Hang on...

To almost complete silence, Michael Jones chips Matt Parkinson straight to Fred Klaassen at mid-wicket.

  4. 'Lancashire are in full control'published at 17:04 British Summer Time 6 September

    Lancs 118-4 (Target 154)

    Matt Cole
    BBC Radio Kent

To be fair to Kent they are just looking for a wicket here.

    Lancashire are in full control.

It feels like a victory lap for Lancashire now unless Kent find something extraordinary.

  5. Postpublished at 13 overs

    Lancs 118-4 (Target 154)

Kent's top bowler, Nathan Gilchrist is back on.

Lancashire don't need to take risks against him.

They don't, in fact Michael Jones is fed a short one he pulls for four and a lovely one on a length which he sends into a delighted home crowd for six more.

Eight sixes in this Lancashire innings now - Kent only hit six in theirs, the same number as Liam Livingstone has on his own!

  6. Postpublished at 12 overs

    Lancs 102-4 (Target 154)

Drinks are coming on for the batters.

Lancashire need 52 runs to win from eight overs - easy in normal circumstances.

Kent need to get rid of Liam Livingstone or they'll lose surely.

  7. 100 runs

100 up for Lancashirepublished at 12 overs

    Lancs 102-4 (Target 154)

Michael Jones comes down the track and slaps Joey Evison's first ball just over extra-cover's head and away for four runs.

Sam Billings decides to stand-up to the stumps to try to keep the batters in their crease.

It works but there are still 10 runs from the over.

  8. Postpublished at 11 overs

    Lancs 92-4 (Target 154)

Fred Klaassen has been outstanding for Kent so far - he has 2-3 from his first two overs and Sam Billings calls him back into the attack.

Lancashire seem content to just see him off as they take five runs from the over.

  9. 'Kent need to get rid of Livingstone'published at 16:50 British Summer Time 6 September

    Lancs 87-4 (Target 154)

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

Bit of relief for Kent. They needed that.

They are still in the game but they need to get rid of Liam Livingstone. While he's there Lancashire are feeling pretty confident.

  10. Postpublished at 10 overs

    Lancs 87-4 (Target 154)

Joey Evison steadies the ship for Kent with that wicket of Ashton Turner and concedes only three runs from the 10th over.

This might get a bit tense because the pitch still isn't easy to bat on.

A lot rests on the shoulders of Liam Livingstone.

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 9.1 overs

    Turner c Gilchrist b Evison 22 (Lancs 84-4 - Target 154)

    Not over just yet...

Ashton Turner tries to take a leaf out of Liam Livingstone's book but only finds the waiting hands of Nathan Gilchrist on the mid-wicket boundary.

Michael Jones is the next man in.

  12. 50 runs

50 for Liam Livingstonepublished at 9 overs

    Lancs 84-3 (Target 154)

Lancashire may have settled those early nerves now.

Liam Livingstone pumps Matt Parkinson down the ground for the fourth six of his innings.

Parkinson spins one past the outside edge with the next ball but Livingstone responds with another maximum over long on and makes it to 50 with another huge six.

His 53 has come from 25 balls with one four to add to those six sixes.

  13. Postpublished at 8 overs

    Lancs 65-3 (Target 154)

Joe Denly's second over is expensive.

Liam Livingstone launches his third ball for six down the ground.

Kent haven't bowled a lot of spin in the Blast this season and Ashton Turner hammers a boundary to the long-on fence.

    14 runs from the over.

  14. 50 runs

50 up for Lancashirepublished at 7 overs

    Lancs 51-3 (Target 154)

On comes the former Lancashire man Matt Parkinson to a few boos - more pantomime than anything else.

Ashton Turner reverse sweeps for four from the fourth ball to add to five singles.

  15. Postpublished at 6 overs

    Lancs 42-3 (Target 154)

Kent turn to spin for the first time and surprisingly it's Joe Denly.

His second ball is whacked for six by Ashton Turner but the rest of the over is tidy enough.

The powerplay ends with Lancashire 42-3.

Kent made 54-2 from their opening six overs.

  16. 'Beautiful catch from Parkinson'published at 16:33 British Summer Time 6 September

    Lancs 31-3 (Target 154)

    Stephen Moore
Former Lancashire opener on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

It was a lovely catch from Matt Parkinson and a premediated shot Keaton Jennings.

He got a decent amount of it but I think the pace in the wicket meant that it didn't travel quite as far.

A beautiful catch from Parkinson, it was never easy to take that.

  17. Postpublished at 5 overs

    Lancs 31-3 (Target 154)

Fred Klaassen has taken 2-3 from his two overs.

Lancashire are finding this as hard as the Kent batters did.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 4.4 overs

    Jennings c Parkinson b Klaassen 4 (Lancs 31-3 - Target 154)

    The skipper goes.

Keaton Jennings tries to flip Fred Klaassen over the wicketkeeper's head and spoons the ball into Matt Parkinson's hands at short fine leg.

  19. 6 runs

    Postpublished at 4 overs

    Lancs 29-2 (Target 154)

Liam Livingstone is back on his feet and the over finishes with him smacking the final ball for six!

it actually looks like that ball hit the Lancashire man on those neck protectors they now attach to the helmet.

    Good to see he's ok.

  20. Postpublished at 3.5 overs

    Lancs 23-2 (Target 154)

Nathan Gilchrist - Kent's leading wicket taker in this competition comes on.

He's right on the mark for his first couple but is then heaved into the crowd over the mid-wicket fence by Liam Livingstone for the first six of the innings.

The next one is top-edged miles into the stratosphere and evades about three fielders - two more runs.

The batter is then clonked on the helmet so we have a pause for the concussion protocols.

    An eventful over.
