  1. Postpublished at 3 overs

    Lancs 14-2 (Target 154)

Liam Livingstone flicks the ball away to the long-leg fence for the first boundary of the home side's innings.

It's followed by a big inside edge just past his stumps for a single.

    Eight runs from the over.

We are halfway through the powerplay.

  2. Postpublished at 2 overs

    Lancs 6-2 (Target 154)

Almost a wicket maiden but Liam Livingstone squeezes a single from the final ball.

No boundary so far for Lancashire.

  3. 'A strange dismissal but a brilliant one for Kent'published at 16:15 British Summer Time 6 September

    Lancashire 6-2 (Target 154)

    That was an interesting dismissal.

Luke Wells looked really confused there. I think everyone one was with how he's managed to get that back onto his stumps.

A strange dismissal but a brilliant one for Kent.

Exactly what Lancashire didn't want to happen.

    Game on!

There's an appeal for a catch down the leg side which is rejected but the next ball from Fred Klaassen has Luke Wells playing on via his pad.

We have a game ladies and gentleman.

    Liam Livingstone is in.

  5. 'A nothing shot from Salt'published at 16:12 British Summer Time 6 September

    Lancs 5-1 (Target 154)

    Stephen Moore
Former Lancashire opener on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

Phil Salt trudged off, he wasn't happy with himself and I'm not surprised. It was almost a nothing shot.

He knew the man was back behind square and he kind of flicked it off his hip not with intent looking like he was going to hit that into the hotel there and it was an easy catch.

Kent will be happy to see the back of Salt.

  6. Postpublished at 1 over

    Lancs 5-1 (Target 154)

Luke Wells is the new man in and he takes a single from his first ball.

No fireworks in that opening over and Kent have that early wicket.

Fred Klaassen is on for the visitors.

  7. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 0.5 overs

    Salt c Gilchrist b Stewart 3 (Lancs 4-1 - Target 154)

Not going to be easy this...

Phil Salt tries to ease a delivery away over square leg but doesn't get enough on it and Nathan Gilchrist pouches the catch in the deep.

  8. Postpublished at 0.1 overs

    Lancs 1-0 (Target 154)

Phil Salt and Keaton Jennings are the Lancashire openers.

Grant Stewart has the first over and a quick single comes off the first ball.

  9. Lancs need 154 to make Finals Daypublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 6 September

Lancashire v Kent 153 all out

So Luke Wood book-ends the Kent effort with a wicket off the first and last ball of the innings.

And basically from that very first ball when Tawanda Muyeye was out, Lancashire were on top with no Kent batter passing 28 and no significant partnerships.

This feels very much like an under-par score.

Someone for Kent will need to have a very good day with the ball if they are going to make it to Finals Day.

  10. 'No real consistency from the batting'published at 16:02 British Summer Time 6 September

Lancashire v Kent 153 all out

    Matt Cole
    BBC Radio Kent

    It'll be difficult for Kent.

The batters couldn't really get going. It seemed to me with this pitch - even when there was some fluency there was no real consistency from the batting.

  11. 'Lancs would have taken that'published at 15:59 British Summer Time 6 September

Lancashire v Kent 153 all out

    Stephen Moore
Former Lancashire opener on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

Lancashire walked off with their heads held high, they've had a good 20 overs there.

They would have taken that any day of the week when they lost the toss and Kent elected to bat.

They'll go in feeling good about the second half I'm sure.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 20 overs

Lancashire v Kent 153 all out

Matt Parkinson and last man Nathan Gilchrist scramble four singles before the latter holes out off the final ball as Luke Wood finishes with 3-29.

So it's 154 needed for the Red Rose to claim a place at Finals Day...

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19.1 overs

    Klaassen c Blatherwick b Wood 6 (Lancashire v Kent 149-9)

Nine down - and still five balls to go as Jack Blatherwick's diving catch in the deep removes Fred Klaassen.

  14. Postpublished at 19 overs

    Lancashire v Kent 149-8

    One over to go, then.

Former Lancashire spinner Matt Parkinson is at the crease for Kent now and is struck on the pad by one that looked to be drifting down leg side.

Aspinwall burns a review confirming that it was, but his effort of 2-12 in two overs has still proved extremely useful.

  15. 'Brave delivery from Aspinwall'published at 15:50 British Summer Time 6 September

    (Lancashire v Kent 149-8

    Stephen Moore
Former Lancashire opener on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

It was a brave delivery from Tom Aspinwall. He'd gone with the bouncer the ball before but that time he went hard into the wicket sort of aiming for top of off stump.

Grant Stewart will be frustrated with that. He was looking like the hope in getting Kent up to a more challenging total to defend.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 18.3 overs

    Stewart b Aspinwall 25 (Lancashire v Kent 145-8)

No escape for Grant Stewart this time as he drags Tom Aspinwall onto off-stump...

  17. Postpublished at 18 overs

    Lancashire v Kent 144-7

Jimmy Anderson is back for his final over and tries to deceive Grant Stewart with a slower ball - but the Italy international gets the better of him, thrashing a leg-side six.

Stewart rides his luck again, though, with another aerial drive that falls fractionally short of the fielder and then a reverse scoop that Tom Aspinwall dives forward to take at short third - but a review shows the ball hitting the grass along with his fingers.

  18. 'Rhythm of game is being played to the tune of Lancs'published at 15:40 British Summer Time 6 September

    Lancashire v Kent 134-7

    Stephen Moore
Former Lancashire opener on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

I'm surprised why the boundary is so close because this is what Lancashire like to do.

You play on a wicket that does a little bit and you push the boundaries back and really make the batters think about how they're going to score their runs with more twos and threes in the outfield but there's hardly any twos or threes today because the boundary is so small.

But the interesting thing is the batters haven't been able to put the bowlers under pressure. I've hardly seen any shots across the line to the spinner yet, trying to take on the smaller boundaries.

The rhythm of the game is really being played to the tune of Lancashire and not to the batters.

  19. 'Leaning was struggling with rhythm'published at 15:38 British Summer Time 6 September

    Lancashire v Kent 134-7

    Stephen Moore
Former Lancashire opener on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

Jack Leaning looked like he has been struggling with rhythm. He's hasn't faced seam really, he's been stuck against spin.

He almost made his mind up that he was going to hit that back over the bowler's head before bowled and was done all ends up.

  20. Postpublished at 17 overs

    Lancashire v Kent 134-7

Grant Stewart gets a bit lucky, snicking a full toss from Tom Aspinwall just past his off stump for a valuable boundary.

Three overs left, can Kent clamber up above the 150 mark at least?
