  1. Postpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 13-1

Dan Worrall is doing as Dan Worrall does - consistently pitching the ball in the right place and making life difficult for the batters.

The Surrey paceman has had Will Rhodes fishing and missing outside off stump three times in a row and, although the left-hander eventually gets bat on ball with the final delivery of the over, it's a maiden.

Rhodes is yet to score from 16 balls, while Durham captain Alex Lees has six to his name.

  2. 'Burns will be satisfied with early wicket'published at 16:50 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 11-1

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

I think Rory Burns will be quietly satisfied with an early wicket but he'd like a couple more tonight.

He doesn't say a huge amount but he's one of those captains when he does say something it's worth listening to.

It's his testimonial year this year. He's got a gate named after him here as well.

  3. Postpublished at 48.5 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 150-3

Ben Slater square cuts Matt Henry for four - he wasn't in control of that one, he was leaning back instead of over the ball.

The next one is also short and he pulls it down to backward square for a single as the Notts total reaches 150.

Slater is now 86 not out.

  4. DERBYSHIRE 261 ALL-OUTpublished at 16:48 British Summer Time 30 June

    Derbyshire 261 v Lancashire 367

    George BaldersonImage source, Getty Images

George Balderson gets Jack Morley to feather an edge through to Matty Hurst to depart for no score and finish with figures of 4-71. Hurst finishes with five catches.

The Red Rose have a first innings lead of 106 as they chase their first win of the Division Two season.

Derbyshire, unbeaten and chasing promotion, are under pressure at Queen's Park, Chesterfield.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 30 June

    Bean c Pepper b Snater 31 (Yorks 81-1 v Essex 368)

Fin Bean will have been dreaming of a big score on his home ground, but it's not to be.

Shane Snater has bowled tightly and consistently and gains his reward with a wicket maiden - even if the key delivery was wide outside the leg stump.

It was enough for Bean to glance the ball into the gloves of Michael Pepper and hand Essex a breakthrough.

James Wharton comes out to join Adam Lyth.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 30 June

    Middleton lbw b Taylor 1 (Hampshire 19-1 v Worcestershire 679-7d)

An uncomfortable stay for Fletcha Middleton ends with a score of one from 23 balls as Tom Taylor charges in, gets one to jag back at the right-hander and beats the blade to thump the knee pad infront of middle and off.

Jack Shantry raises the finger and the Pears have a breakthrough.

Nick Gubbins joins Ali Orr for something of a rearguard effort.

  7. Division Two updatepublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 30 June

It's still tea in Cardiff, but at Canterbury, Northants have just passed 50 for the loss of Luke Procter, replying to Kent's 566-8 declared.

Middlesex have a double breakthrough at Grace Road, with Noah Cornwell and Ryan Higgins removing Sol Budinger and Liam Trevaskis for 10 and three respectively.

Leicestershire are 45-2 in the 13th over, Middlesex were earlier bowled out for 534.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:41 British Summer Time 30 June

    Andersson c Hurst b Green 79 (Derbyshire 252-9 v Lancashire 367)

    Lancs have their man.

Having just secure a first batting point, Derbyshire have now conceded maximum bowling points to the Red Rose as Martin Andersson steps back to cut Chris Green into the offside, only to top edge into the gloves of Matty Hurst, standing up to the timbers.

The unbeaten hosts still trail by more than 100 runs at Chesterfield.

  9. 'A terrific catch from Overton'published at 16:41 British Summer Time 30 June

    Somerset 379 v Notts 143-3

    Melinda Farrell
Sports broadcaster/journalist on BBC Radio Somerset

Well the change worked and in the end it was coming back to the spinners and and the experience of Jack Leach.

It was a terrific catch from Craig Overton because he really threw his bat through that ball, thick edge and a really good sharp take by the captain.

They've been searching very hard for that breakthrough and it finally comes. It's been hard work getting but they're pretty happy they've got there.

  10. Postpublished at 45.3 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 143-3

Jack Leach is convinced that should be two wickets in successive balls as Jack Haynes pushes forward in defence and the ball ends up in Craig Overton's hands at first slip.

Somerset are dumbfounded when the umpire says no - presumably he feels it came off the thigh pad.

  11. Postpublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 30 June

    Sussex 221-2 v Warwickshire 415

Daniel Hughes is closing in on a century... in terms of runs accrued via boundaries, that is.

The Australian's 23rd four, a beautiful drive down the ground off Ed Barnard, takes him to 119* and he then smacks Corey Rocchiccioli uppishly back past the spinner and to the rope at long-on to reach 123* with his 24th.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 30 June

    Gay b Fisher 7 (Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 10-1)

Not the start Durham wanted, by any means...

Emilio Gay shuffles across his stumps to Matt Fisher and the ball squeezes through - maybe brushing his pad - to hit leg stump.

Pressure on as Will Rhodes comes down the steps to join Alex Lees at the crease.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 45.3 overs

    Clarke c Overton b Leach 18 (Somerset 379 v Notts 143-2)

Joe Clarke won't be proud of that one.

He tries a big drive to a floated delivery by Jack Leach, but doesn't get his front foot anywhere near it and edges to Craig Overton at first slip.

A deserved reward for the England spinner, who is bowling well today.

  14. Got to feel for Drissellpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 7-0

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

It hasn't rained but it's poured for Durham spinner George Drissell today.

Surrey declared on 820-9. Drissell certainly took one for the team.

His figures of 1-247 are the most expensive in County Championship history. It beats Claude Henderson's 3-235, for Leicestershire here against Surrey in 2006.

  15. Postpublished at 44.4 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 142-2

Seam from both ends at the moment in Taunton.

The pitch looks drier than it did yesterday - hardly a surprise - but Matt Henry still finds enough nip to beat Joe Clarke.

The next one is slightly wider and Clarke nudges it along the ground past diving second slip's right hand for four.

  16. Postpublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 30 June

    Yorks 66-0 v Essex 368

Back under way at Clifton Park, where Shane Snater hurtles in to deliver the first over of the evening session.

It costs Snater just a single, which takes Fin Bean on to 30 not out.

  17. 'Pears declaration was a surprise'published at 16:29 British Summer Time 30 June

    Hampshire 12-0 v Worcestershire 679-7d

    Jemma Green
    Former Hampshire Women player

I was surprised with that declaration. Not so much because of the situation in the game - but the lack of acceleration just before.

It sort of took us by surprise because they didn't give anything away.

  18. Postpublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 30 June

Shorts and loose clothing very much the thing to wear today. This was the scene earlier during the tea interval at Hove.

  19. Latest from Canterburypublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 30 June

    Kent 566-8 dec v Northants 25-1

He scored 118 earlier on and now Harry Finch has a catch behind the stumps for Kent.

It's a tame dismissal for Luke Procter, who tries to leg glance but departs for eight.

Calvin Harrison is in at three, an experiment Northants first tried in last week's win against Middlesex.

  20. Durham begin reply against Surreypublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 0-0

Just the trivial matter of 671 required for Durham to avoid the follow-on, then.

Dan Worrall has ball in hand as Alex Lees and Emilio Gay make their way back onto the pitch - having spent more than five sessions out there already.
