  1. Tea in Cardiffpublished at 16:23 British Summer Time 30 June

    Glamorgan 128-4 v Gloucestershire 380

Bonus wicket for Gloucestershire just before tea with Sam Northeast bowled by Graeme van Buuren for 48.

It was a strange one, the ball turned past the bat and could only have hit off stump - but it was the leg bail that ended up on the floor.

Gloucestershire won't care about that, they are 252 in front and have the opportunity to do more damage in the final session.

Ben Kellaway is six not out and Colin Ingram has four.

  2. Postpublished at 16:22 British Summer Time 30 June

    Sussex 209-2 v Warwickshire 415

Two boundaries in three balls for Daniel Hughes off Ed Barnard in the first over after tea and we are right back up to speed.

That's 88 of Hughes' 115 runs in boundaries, now.

  3. 'A long haul'published at 16:21 British Summer Time 30 June

    Hampshire 11-0 v Worcestershire 679-7d

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

It's a long haul. You can bat brilliantly well and get to 529 and be asked to follow on.

You've got to be happy to get 529.

  4. Two records in one shotpublished at 16:21 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Surrey made it to 814-8 with a six from Will Jacks, making it their highest score in first-class cricket, beating their 811 against Somerset in 1899. I wasn't at that one.

It is also the highest total against Durham, beating Warwickshire's 810-4 declared in 1994.

Jacks was caught out moments later for 119 and Surrey then decided to declare after 127 overs.

Mentally, Durham must be on the floor. They have to find the fighting spirit not to get totally destroyed here. They have their work cut out. There are 28 overs left in the heat of day two at The Oval.

  5. dropped catch

Orr dropped on 0published at 16:16 British Summer Time 30 June

    Hampshire 3-0 v Worcestershire 679-7d

Absolute dolly for Henry Nicholls at second slip and he's put it down. Tom Taylor should have had the breakthrough after finding the edge of Ali Orr's bat.

17 dot balls to start proceedings but they have seen more peril than most of the game thus far, with Taylor and Ben Allison beating the edge and Fletcha Middleton edging inches short of Adam Hose at slip.

  6. wicket

WICKET AND DECLARATIONpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 30 June

    Jacks c Lees b Hogg 119 (Surrey 820-8 dec v Durham)

Will Jacks plunders another six off Daniel Hogg and goes for a third - but doesn't clear long off and Alex Lees collects the catch.

That's enough for Rory Burns, with his side having achieved history - he waves them in after just nine balls of the evening session.

Durham will have 28 overs to face tonight.

  7. Tea at Chesterfieldpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 30 June

    Derbyshire 247-8 v Lancashire 367

Good session for Lancashire, who are chasing their first win, against Derbyshire, who are yet to taste defeat.

Martin Andersson has been a thorn in the Red Rose' side and goes to tea unbeaten on 76, passing Wayne Madsen's earlier 70.

Jimmy Anderson will return to the attack after the interval trying to find those final two wickets and establish a valuable first innings lead, which currently stands at 120.

  8. Surrey post county record totalpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 814-8 v Durham

Will Jacks pumps Daniel Hogg over midwicket for six - and that is a new record total for Surrey!

They pass the 811 that was achieved against Somerset, back in 1899.

  9. Postpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 808-8 v Durham

The sixth session in a row begins with Surrey batting - although we wouldn't anticipate that being the case for too long now.

Matt Fisher has joined Will Jacks after tea and steps back to his first ball from Colin Ackermann, patting it away for a single.

But he'll leave it to Jacks to guide Surrey past that 126-year-old landmark of 811. Four runs needed to set a new record total for the county.

  10. Postpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 30 June

    Somerset 379 v Notts 124-2

Was that long enough for the players to savour an ice cream?

Let's hope so because there is another session of hot work out in the middle remaining at Taunton.

Notts resume, 255 behind, as Craig Overton starts another spell for Somerset.

  11. Tea at Yorkpublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 30 June

    Yorks 65-0 v Essex 368

Simon Harmer's four-over spell just before tea goes for just three runs and the Yorkshire openers head back to the changing room for a breather and a cup of tea.

Fin Bean is on 29, with Adam Lyth 26 not out and the first-innings deficit is now 303.

  12. Division Two updatepublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 30 June

The final session is now under way at Canterbury, where Kent declared on 566-8 following that big stand between Daniel Bell-Drummond and Harry Finch.

Northants are 14-0 after three of of their reply - 12 of them for Ricardo Vasconcelos, who is scoring exclusively in boundaries at the moment.

Leicestershire are 12-0 in the third over against Middlesex, who were bowled out for 534 in their first innings - Ben Geddes scoring 137 off 208 balls.

Ben Green, Roman Walker and Liam Trevaskis each took three wickets for the Foxes.

  13. WORCESTERSHIRE DECLARE ON 679-7published at 16:04 British Summer Time 30 June

    Hampshire 0-0 v Worcs 679-7

The third highest total in Worcestershire history is enough for Jake Libby, who ends unbeaten on 228.

His side will have a bowl, with Tom Taylor thrown the new ball and Ali Orr on strike, with Fletcha Middleton at the other end.

  14. Postpublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 30 June

    Derbyshire 241-8 v Lancashire 367

Two wickets in four balls have given Lancashire some real momentum - although Martin Andersson remains there on 71*.

Andersson tickled Chris Green into the leg side and set off for a single, which Zak Chappell hesitated over, only to run himself out, while Ben Aitchison edged to Matty Hurst for a three-ball duck.

  15. The toss!published at 16:01 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 803-8 v Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

I have looked through a long list of highest scores in the history of the County Championship.

This Surrey total is the highest score by a team who lost the toss and were put in. Just let that sink in!

I am told the side winning the toss has decided to bowl in something like 20 games in a row here. But this time that decision by Alex Lees has certainly put the matter in the spotlight.

  16. Postpublished at 16:00 British Summer Time 30 June

    Yorks 59-0 v Essex 368

So far, so good for Yorkshire in their reply to Essex's total of 368 and they'll be delighted if they can get through to the tea interval without losing a wicket.

That's just a couple of overs away now, with Fin Bean on 28 and Adam Lyth 21.

  17. Latest from Cardiffpublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 30 June

    Glamorgan 115-3 v Glos 380

A moment of carelessness from Kiran Carlson costs him his wicket at Sophia Gardens.

He pulls a ball from young Archie Bailey but finds the hands of Australian Todd Murphy at long leg and falls for 14.

Colin Ingram joins Sam Northeast, who is 45 not out.

  18. Tea at Hovepublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 30 June

    Sussex 200-2 v Warwickshire 415

Daniel Hughes will take tea unbeaten on 106 after amassing a classy first century of the season.

He's found the rope 20 times, keeping his exertion to a minimum on a sweltering day on the south coast.

James Coles moved to 27* with a single to bring up the 200 from the final ball of the session and the 50th over.

Warwickshire have been hampered in the heat by the loss of Chris Rushworth who bowled just three overs with the new ball before leaving the field.

They need wickets before stumps, otherwise they might come under some pressure in about 24 hours time.

  19. Tea at Tauntonpublished at 39 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 124-2

Unimpeded by the imminent tea interval, Joe Clarke hammers Archie Vaughan's opening delivery to the extra cover boundary.

Nothing doing from the rest of the over, ending a session in which Notts have added 109 for the loss of Haseeb Hameed and Freddie McCann, both to catches by wicketkeeper James Rew.

Matt Henry and Vaughan have been the successful bowlers so far, but Jack Leach has looked threatening in his 0-26 from 14 overs.

Notts opener Ben Slater reaches tea on 65 not out.

  20. 50 runs

partnership for Lyth & Beanpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 30 June

    Yorks 50-0 v Essex 368

Fin Bean steers Paul Walter for a single to bring up the 50 partnership with Adam Lyth and Yorkshire will be happy with the way things have gone so far in their reply.

Bean is on 27, with Lyth 13 not out. We still have five overs after this one before the tea interval.
