England need to try and get Mlaba on strike here as she will not be looking forward to facing Lauren Filer.

    Ruthless from Heather Knight.

She brings back Lauren Filer's pace, having already taken two top-order wickets.

South Africa are not in the position they would have wanted. Chloe Tryon is attempting to do a decent job for her team, but she has struggled for runs recently anyway so it feels extra difficult for her.

It feels as though any South Africa total now will be significantly under-par.

  4. SA 101-7published at 24 overs

Chloe Tryon continues to be positive and it's working for her, connecting nicely with a sweep off Sophie Ecclestone which brings another boundary.

South Africa tick off the milestone of reaching 100, at least.

The camera pans to the South Africa players in their dressing room and unsurprisingly, there aren't many smiles.

Obviously it is never one player at blame for a collapse but Annerie Dercksen's wicket kickstarted it, and the young all-rounder will learn a lot from this experience about taking responsibility once you're in.

  6. SA 89-7published at 22 overs

More nice work from Chloe Tryon, capitalising on a full toss from Sophie Ecclestone and threading it through cover and point for four.

Since 2007 (where ball-by-ball data is available), England have bowled 13 double-wicket maidens in ODI cricket. This was Charlie Dean's second for England.

Sophie Ecclestone has more than any other English bowler, with four double-wicket maidens to her name in ODI cricket.

Chloe Tryon will try to play some big shots here and get some runs as Mlaba does not have a lot of confidence in her defending shots. But there is still so much time left in the innings so slow and steady could be the best way of going about it.

  9. SA 82-7published at 21 overs

All of South Africa's hopes rely on Chloe Tryon here.

She whips through mid-wicket for four, perhaps thinking that attack is the best form of defence.

England have been ruthless but the hosts have been completely spooked.

South Africa's 5% is rather optimistic after that collapse, I would say.

Mlaba is batting as though they are in the 18th over of a T20 game! South Africa need to re-group and play sensibly here and just try to build something back up.

    Nonkululeko Mlaba is just swinging.

She gets away with one as Tammy Beaumont misjudges at short leg and loses the ball in the sky.

South Africa have lost five wickets for four runs.

It's been absolute chaos so here's a summary.

    • 16.3 overs: Annerie Dercksen is caught at point off Charlie Dean for 29, with South Africa 72-2
    • 17 overs: Marizanne Kapp is caught at mid-off for a third-ball duck
    • 17.4 overs: Laura Wolvaardt is bowled by Sophie Ecclestone for 35
    • 18.1 overs: Nadine de Klerk is caught at slip for a duck
    • 18.2 overs: Sinalo Jafta is Dean's hat-trick victim, pinned lbw first ball

This picture rather tells the tale of this South African innings.

The hosts have been blown away by a rampant England bowling attack.

South Africa came through so brilliantly from a poor start and they seem to have thrown it away now. The footwork for a lot of these dismissals has been non-existent and South Africa have just gone into a defensive mindset.

  16. SA 76-7published at 19 overs

South Africa are all over the place. At this point, they just need to try and get to 100.

    It has been shambolic.

    Charlie Dean has 4-26 including a hat-trick and a double-wicket maiden there!

Never in doubt - and that's Charlie Dean's hat-trick as Marizanne Kapp was dismissed from the final ball of her previous over!

Can she make it four in a row?

  18. SA reviewpublished at 18.2 overs

    Carnage.

Sinalo Jafta is pinned plumb in front first ball, given out, and sends it upstairs for the most optimistic of reviews.

  19. wicket

    De Klerk c Knight b Dean 0 (SA 76-6)

    What is happening?!

Nadine de Klerk, who played so brilliantly in Kimberley, tries to put the pressure back on England. She goes for a big drive at Charlie Dean for her first ball and edges through to the keeper.

The ball ricochets off Jones' glove and safely to Heather Knight at slip.

Dean's delivery to dismiss Dercksen was the fullest of any she bowled today (2.19m) and one of the slowest too (47mph). Poor execution to an overpitched delivery from Dercksen.

Kapp's wicket was more of a stock ball from Dean (50mph + 4.4m length). A lapse in concentration from the star all rounder who was looking to drive a ball that wasn't quite full enough.
