This is the point in the innings where I would start to go a bit feral in the field!

Fatima has her sleeves rolled up - giving a hint of swagger - but is blowing on her hands to warm them up.

Ten runs come from Fatima's over and I'm not sure she's loving life.

A sluggish wicket, but England have to press on with scoring. Amy Jones to the rescue.

    Hmmm.

Fatima begins with a full-bunger and Amy jones helps herself to four.

Enid Bakewell is giving the railing of her balcony a bash to applaud.

There is absolutely no energy in the build up or at the crease of Ayesha Zafar's run-up. That's how I bowl when I go into the schools and play against some of the youngsters. A little hop, skip and a jump, pretending I know how to bowl spin!

There definitely needs to be a bit more pace in the run-up, or at the crease, to generate a bit of pace. At the moment it's slow, slow or slower.

And just as I say that seamer Fatima Sana is going to come back for a second burst.

    I like this move.

These Pakistan spinners are canny but there's not a lot of variety. There's a LOT of slow off-spin on show.

Ayesha Zafar does kind the edge of Alice Capsey's bat but the edge is thick enough to make it tough for the keeper. I'm not even going to call that a drop.

Off-spinner Ayesha Zafar is going to kick us off after drinks.

I hope they're bringing on the handwarmers. I dropped Nat off this morning and she took two hot water bottles with her.

    Amy Jones again...

Her second fine stroke in as many overs comes as she lifts off-spinner Umm-e-Hani over the top of mid-off. The ball bobbles away before reaching the boundary.

I reckon that was one of the shots of the day. That, my friends, will be drinks.

    Shot.

Amy Jones gets down on one knee to heave Nashra Sandhu over mid-on.

That aggression persuades some in the ground to take their hands from the comfort of their pockets to applaud. It's chilly.

    Eight from the over.

I still think England can get up to around 240, which is just under six an over from here, if they have a good partnership here and don't leave too much time for Dean, Ecclestone and Glenn to have to bat.

I think 240 is easily defendable with the bowling line-up they have got. They will want more, of course, but they have had to work really hard today.

    Thanks Sam.

    How are we all?

Alice Capsey has given this innings a bit of impetus.

The legend that is Enid Bakewell is enjoying herself on a balcony, dancing along to her kingdom below.

Ahhhh the live-texters curse. No bad thing if you are an England fan, though.

Alice Capsey with a pair of fours in that over.

I'm going to hand you over to Matt Henry now. He will guide you (seamlessly) through to the interval.

Boundaries not exactly free flowing right now.

Doff of the cap to Nashra Sandhu who is a) bowling beautifully and b) bowling in a cap. A huge fan of that approach personally.

Pedestrian is the right word for this from England.

We've just had the traditional ice cream van shot on camera. The queue you ask? Snaking? Mammoth? No, try non-existent. It ain't warm in Derby today.

Nat Sciver-Brunt took a long time to walk off, didn't she? I think she knew that she got a little tickle on that.

It was a good ball. There was a little bit of movement off the seam and the length and width invited the drive. Nat Sciver-Brunt went after it and you would say that if she was in, she would have hit that without any deviation off the pitch.

Another good catch behind the stumps.

Always lovely to see spinners giving it a little hang time. Nashra Sandhu has bowled half her allocation now for a miserly 14 runs. Tidy.
