    Raf Nicholson from CRICKETher, discussing England's recent pattern of getting good starts but no big scores on TMS: "I think 'Jon-ball', or the philosophy of coach Jon Lewis, is an interesting philosophy. I think the younger players are struggling to get that balance.

    "They are very much being told to be aggressive, exciting, inspire and entertain. It's that kind of mantra, but actually sometimes that isn't the best way to play."

    They fell pretty steadily through the innings, although Amy Jones and Alice Capsey stayed together at the crease for almost 13 overs, putting on 67 runs.

    England should have looked to get 280+ but those little batting collapses caused them to pause and they weren't able to get that momentum later in the innings. It wasn't a poor batting performance from England but it certainly wasn't their best.

  9. That was not quite the dominant performance England would have been looking for. They just don't seem to be able to string it all together at the moment.

    Eight batters made double figures but no-one got to 50.
